Suggestion for mid lane champs

Hello there!

I play League for some time, and found an interesting problem of mine.
I main support and top on ranked (Braum+Malph currently), and I can play decent on the other roles. But lately it seems when I have or want to play mid (ranked or normals, doesn't matter), I get wrecked badly. Now, well, I know I have some tendencies when I play with a champ good for some time, but after that my "good play" goes to another champion (like Nasus->Jax->Shyvanna->Wukong->Malphite, or Leona->Nami->Braum). But since I don't have much time to play lately to try out champs, I thought I might ask you guys about what suggestions you can give me for mid lane.
My current favourites are Azir, Vel'koz and Lissanda (okay, Lissandra is an all time favourite), and my old ones, with whom I rarely play lately ar Karthus, Mordekaiser, Lux and Syndra.

is extremely easy and fun to play. She doesn't have any skill shots and does an insane amount of damage late game.

has a HUGE AA range that lets you harass melee champs such as , , , etc. She has a free 1.25 - 2 second stun with her passive . does a lot of damage and is great for farming because of the CD reduction and full mana back on unit kill. also does a lot of damage. It is good for wave clear and harassing your enemy. is a free baby and only costs 20 mana so its great for getting 4 stacks for your passive . Finally, is what is best known for. Late game it will do 800+ damage. You can also stun the entire enemy team with this and win team fights or pick off an alone ADC.

is also able to completely delete people with a R>Q>W>Ignite combo.

I HIGHLY recommend giving her a go. She is so much fun to play as and you can carry games with her. She's also very cheap to buy so if you don't like her, you didn't lose a fortune.

When I played Annie first, I didn't like her, and I'm not sure I ever played with her since then. But this was waaaay back, when I started LoL. I didn't like her thematically, but I will give it a shot. And I already bought her a month ago, along with the other cheap champs, for trading reasons.

Annie is a very solid midlane pick, albeit her low spell ranges and mobility make it tough to deal with skillshotters like and . She's a good counterpick for the melee midlaners, as said above. Other than that, there's , who is a burstier kind of annie good to use against champs like and who like to pace around their minion waves.

If you main support, try mid. She does well in the current meta, she can still support her team and deal an absurd amount of damage.

mid is strong too, build health and ability power, he'll be able to bully most mid-laners easily enough. If you main him, it should be a very simple transition.

I suggest , he is quite easy to get used to, his ends up doing all the farming for you and he is super satisfying to play. He pushes towers well and can kill even tanks with a good rotation through his abilities.

can be a very fun mid laner as he is almost impossible to gank on top of being a great roamer, his poke is strong and his build options are huge! (You can go AP or AD in the mid lane and they both work wonderfully.)

Finally another champion I recommend in the mid lane is , now you may be thinking "that won't work" but what you must understand is that his gives him lots of health and his gives him immense engage power, when a jungler chooses to gank you your deals with them nicely.

Hey I think Heimerdinger is ok in mid lane, I tried him out and it was pretty decent for the mid lane.

I encourage you to try . You might not like her, but she's amazing, and worth a try.

If you want an easy mid laner go with annie like Rukt said. If you want viable then here's a few choices. If you want a mage then {Xerath, Ahri, Orianna, Vladimir, Twisted Fate} If you like assassins then probably a list like {Leblanc, Zed, (Ahri and tf can go on either list), and Kassadin who is one of my old favorites.}. Lissandra is also great. Nice damage and AMAZING cc. Velkoz has never been that viable and azir just got nerfed too hard (although he's not entirely useless)

I forgot to mention the double ad comp. It offers lots of poke but is hard to pull off because you have succeed early. Ezreal, corki and urgot all fit into this category. Lots of fun with these champions but hard to pull off.

Well, I'm not into assassins, at least not Zed or LB. I was kinda meh with Zed, and LB was a little chaotic for me.
Poor Vel'koz, I like him, especially his laser.
And yeah, Azir had been hit hard. He is the only champion I bought on day one, and didn't regret it. I mained him in URF, and man, he was a beast. But outside URF, I have problems with him.
So, I will try out Annie, thx!
