That still won't fix the white noise, but other than that it is just a matter of setting up your equalizer.

You should be able to plug your 3,5mm cable from the headset into the splitter(and the splitter into your mobo).
You also mentioned a splitter from the siberia so try that if the splitter doesn't fit into your mobo due to the plug spacing
Thanks to IPodPulse for this <3^

I fixed it.

I deleted the old audio kingston driver and reinstalled it and it's working now. I don't have the white noise but the static sound remains if I plug the headset in with 3.5mm cable but I'll just use the USB control box and connect the headset with USB if the troubles are gone with that.

Sounds are still too clear compared to the Siberia V2 (for my liking at least) but I'll just gotta get used to it.

Thanks for everyone who took their time to help me out even after I got little bit confused in the middle with the parts.

You mentioned something about Siberia V2 having deeper bass sounds and it's possible to set the HyperX one to sound something like that? I think it's worth giving a shot because atm the hyperX is "too clear" you could say.

Well, to be specific, it sounds more like real life; like it should sound. You're just used to unclear sound :P

But yeah, that should be pretty easy to do, if you want to. Most good music programs offer such functionality. Tomahawk is an open source player I can recommend, and it has an EQ plugin you can install. Bass is the lower frequencies (below 500Hz).

If you want to change it for all sounds and not just music you can tweak these through either the Kingston driver settings or through Windows sound settings, not sure, you'll have to check yourself.

I am pretty sure it is the kingston settings, I can't find any eqalizer settings in the windows sound settigns(on my win10 Laptop). Might just be me being stupid though.

Cheers, I'll look into that.

Well, ****. It seems like the Tomahawk plugin is Linux only. You'll either have to find another player with support for it or do it through drivers/windows.

Playback Devices -> Properties (on the headphones ofc) -> Enhancements -> Equalizer
Check the box then press the button with 3 dots to configure it manually.
It's best to look for it in the driver settings first though, because there might be incompatibilities (I don't know).

Shameless self post:

I've been trying to make some improvements to my PC's airflow over the past couple of months and I finally found a situation I'm pretty happy with.

This is my PC right now. I'm still running my 2nd-hand Sapphire 290, but I set it to a fan profile that makes it run at minimum fan speeds (not sure exactly what the RPM is, but probably something like 20% of its max) unless under prolonged heavy loads, with a modest (5%) overclock. Furthermore, I upgraded my CPU cooler's fan to a Noiseblocker NB-eLoop 120mm fan, which are crazy expensive for a computer fan (25€ wtf) but whisper quiet even at 1000 RPM.

The two 140mm Fractal HF-14's I'm running in the back are set to 0 RPM in idle, whereas my two standard Phanteks 140mm front fans run at something like 400 rpm (the reason I'm able to run the HF14's at 0rpm is because I added low-noise adapters and run them at minimum voltage through the included fan hub in my Enthoo Luxe).

The Phanteks fans kinda suck and still make a bit of a humming noise so I'm planning to replace them with NB-eLoop 140's, but once I got those my system should be dead silent at idle and generally silent under load, which I'm pretty happy with considering it's quite some heat I'm dealing with.

Oh and I also upgraded my monitor to a Dell Ultrasharp U2515H, which is a beast! 1440p is a great resolution for both productivity and games so I'm really happy right now :)

Yes, I used two monitors previously as well so I really didn't want to let go of that functionality. It isn't as necessary for productivity use but it's nice when gaming for spotify/skype.

I've been a happy 1440p user for a while now too (Dell Ultrasharp U2713HM, guilty pleasure I know). It really is amazing how much readable text you can throw on the screen, I get instantly annoyed when I try to get something done on lower resolutions.
