Yeah I'd definitely take trackers knife on Malph and Nautilus but not sure about voli. If not take trackers on the first two the red smit is good I think. But trackers knife would be better than red smite plus sights tone.

@Nameless Honestly, it is better to just hold your yellow trinket until around lvl 9-13~ and get a combat smite as opposed to tracker's. I'm a bit biased because I've been using the smite upgrades for over a full season now and I know exactly what I can accomplish with them, but they are really really strong for the price they are. If you desperately need vision, then go sightstone on cinderhulk junglers after you complete the cinderhulk, and sell it lategame if you need more combat stats. Most games don't go that long anyway.

As for warrior junglers, I don't think you should ever skip combat smites on them in soloqueue. I rarely get tracker's, even in competitive play. Smiting wraiths constantly with a pink ward on each back is enough vision denial.

@Jhoi Vel'Koz has a huge amount of lane presence, but explodes to aoe in teamfights even if fed, cannot escape ganks for his life, and doesn't fill his niche of "strong AP poke support" as well as someone like brand, zyra, or to a lesser extent, karma.

Poppy is insanely powerful right now, but pretttty likely to get nerfed. I think she will still be learning though. That level 2 all-in potential, as well as the super cc-lock and disengage powerspike she gets at level 6 is unlikely to get hit in a way that she'll become unplayable.

@Utopus I would still answer individual questions and update the list in this thread. The end of week videos would only be for explaining changes to the list. There are a bunch I make every change that I don't document.

I think illaoi is pretty good. She does well in lane. If she cant win the matchup she can usually just farm with q and wait it all out. She seems to win most melee matchups. I think most of the reason why not many people play her is because of all the setup requirements for teamfights. Serup isnt required if you can get a good ult though. Random tip: grab a spirit or get a vessel before ulting if you can. Ult tentacles act like normal tentacles so if you have one of those 2 things then the tentacles will immediately attack something.
She does a ton of aoe damage in a fight. With vessels she can seige well. Grab spirit of anyone defending. Team pops spirit. The person you grabbed is like half health and has to either back or spawn tentacles that will hit other people. I say will because you be in a 5 man siege and avoid tentacles that are attacking randomly.

I think the main problem for illaoi is she can be too flash relient and peeled off well if she doesnt have help like a thresh or a zilean or a lulu. She also has to rely on the team to cleanup the fight because after she does her thing she is just gonna kinda run after people at best.

I would be curious to see what people who are actually good at this game think of her though. This is just my own experiences with the champion.

Signature is from Ninja_Trigger's champion mastery thread!
New and slightly improved version is still up to date >HERE!<

imo Illaoi is total garbage and people should avoid playing her if possible. Yeah, she is surprisingly tanky at low health, but her kit is just weak; she requires at least one damage item to do damage, and in the early-game she has low damage output regardless. If you can get people to fight in small corridors, then maybe she works, but that's very situational. Additionally, she lacks an escape and true gap-closer, and the passive can screw you over really easily.

The E is strong, especially when ahead, but it does nothing in all-ins, aside from providing another tentacle for the ultimate. Honestly, if you want someone who does what she does and better, then I'd just go with Darius and call it a day. Illaoi just adds next to nothing to a team and has a kit that is plagued with problems. I don't know what h4x places her at - I didn't look - but I definitely see no reason to put her higher.

H4x when you get some kha games in or speak with some kha players I'd like your opinion on masteries runes and items. Currently I'm a bit lost as to how much flat cdr I should be running in my glyphs and for masteries I'm starting to like storm raiders over thunder lords. I've spoken to some other high elo kha players and we seem to agree that warrior tiamat youmuu hydra then situational is the way to go. Situational can be like cleaver, bt, deaths dance, mercurial, maw, etc.

Oh and deaths dance vs BT on kha? One comparaison with 30% cdr and 40% please

I think you're underplaying the Illaoi GMD. She deals brutal AoE and her E lategame is pretty darn stupid. Her defects are exactly what has been stated: requires setup and shoves her lane too hard while being easy to gank due to lack of mobility.

I see no reason to not just play 2-3 other champions that do pretty much the exact same thing.

If she gets properly punished for her faults she is garbage imo. Super easy to gank and to kite and she shouldn't be able to poke well with her tentacle pull thing. If somehow she ends up in the middle of a team and ult she is monstrous but that should almost never happen. Also like GMD said there are Champs with fewer downsides that fill her role of tanky teamfighty juggernaut bruiser.

I know you can say that for many Champs but punishing her is so easy in her case compared to other Champs.
