^ That's my favourite anime of the current season. My opinion is biased though because I like mystery genre. Dimension W is also enjoyable, might make a post later about currently on-going series.

I have my reservations. I'm afraid that the story is gonna be full of ******** elements devoid of logic, only meant to push the story in a certain direction.

Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu
This is hands down the best anime of Winter 2016 in my opinion. It basically tells the story of a storyteller and his apprentice. It's really hard to explain this one but just give it a try. The visuals are what hooked me up but I got interested of the plot quickly after I got the hang of it.

Hai to Gensou no Grimgar
This anime might be the most overlooked. It's another anime about games but the problem is many compare it to SAO and just quit watching because it isn't like it. The setting is people just appeared in this game world and are now trying to survive there. They have memories in real life stuff like cell phones but can't remember to meaning of the words, implying that they were transported from the real world somehow.
You can actually kinda "feel" for the characters which is different from SAO. I don't know how to explain it better.

Hai to Gensou no Grimgar
i actually read the light novel for this and all i can really say is that it's really character focused and that it's REALLY ****ING SLOW
like im 3 volumes in (1 volume ~ 1 season of anime) and I can only see characters start to develop.
the pacing for the anime is also really weird, but it's okay overall.
one show i really loved this season was kono suba
****in hilarious

Has anyone taken a look at Boku dake ga Inai Machi yet? It's currently at chapter 5, pretty interesting I'd say. The art isn't that great in my opinion but it grows on you. It's actually ranked #10 on MAL at the moment, which doesn't say much for an ongoing series (and I don't think MAL is accurate) but it's still exceptional as far as I know ^^
