I don't think AD Malzahar is that strong, it is only a 40% AD ratio compared to the 150% AD ratio before. Of course, before it was harder to get all those Voidlings together, but once you reached the point, it was a lot stronger.
To be honest, I prefer my rework a lot over this, at least it makes thematically sense, that thing now is just weird and the passive makes no sense.

150% ratio each but harder time spawning them, now you get instant 120% Ratio because of triple spawn + instant bonus AS. Also, he's soloing dragon at 4 which isn't shabby at all. You're also less dependent on kiting and time is a nonfactor since you can instantly get 3.

its more than 120% Ratio because you can have more than 3 up, ive had 7 up at once when i was doing dragon, plus they dont teleport back to you if you walk too far away meaning your voidlings can do drag while you and your team keep the enemy team away from drag
its harder to do rift herald though because of the patience mechanic it has but thats because the voidlings get so close to it that its hard to make it aggro you
but yeah i can see AD malz getting nerfed and veigar getting nerfed but everyone else seems ok for the most part

They changed it back, but reduced the damage against jungle monsters to 75%. I think Riot wants him to jungle. But, since his Voidlings also have an AP-ratio, I think AP
Malzahar jungle will be superior. Especially with the combination belt + ult.

I think they just want to give him options. He is still a good laner, hard to force trades, less easy to poke due to passive, and he can actually force some trades with his W now. I think they probably saw that their previous changes shut his jungling down a bit too hard and are trying to find a balanced state.
