Hec is meant to be kinda like Darius in the fact that hes a tank that can dish out pretty decent damage. The current meta calls for strong tanks in the top lane that can also deal a little damage. Most pro Hec builds have him going TriForce and Sterak's Gage as the only damage items. Currently I see no reason (unless you're jg) to go any more damage. Hope I helped : )

ignite definitly is the right summoner spell for your build, but in my opinion, hecarim on ad is more effective than tank.
He can easily get into the enemy team, oneshot the adc and get out without of using summoners.

Thank You Asashin! I'll correct that now :)

I really like this guide, but as i read through, I noticed one little mistake. "Titanic Hydra" gives you 450 hp instead of 400 :-)

That why I put it as a damage option and not in the standard build. I know that Titanic Hydra is better and that is why I recommended it above all the other items in the final option.

Yo wtf blade of the rune king is bad on hecarim. Pick all ways Titanic Hydra. You should correct: blade of the rune king make per Autoattack 6%of CURRENT life not 8% of max life wtf would be too op

Thanks kr4fta! I will try to work on explaining the masteries in my next update to the guide. I will not however be explaining my runes as these are not Hecarim specific runes. The runes I have displayed are just your general AD runes. Thanks for the suggestion and GL in Solo-Que :).

As someone who just started playing Hecarim this is def an upvote. Very well explained however it would also be great to know your thoughts behind masteries and runes :) Thanks!

So This is just a post showing the major changes I made for Preseason 6.
First off I removed Homeguards from the build and from the Items section as they are no longer purchasable and are obtained at 20 minutes by all players. Secondly, I updated the masteries due to a change in patch 5.24. This patch made precision too OP to not take, and for that reason I have 18 in the Cunning tree rather than the ferocity tree. The final change I made was to the description of TriForce. I was glorifying the fact that it also gave AP but I now have that part removed and a proper explanation of the item in place. I hope you all enjoy the more accurate Hecarim Guide :).

Sorry for not updating it correctly xD. I totally forgot about the Home Guard change when I updated this for 5.23. I'll fix that at some point and will also change my TriForce sections. Thanks for pointing it out :). Also TriForce is still the item to get on Hecarim despite not having the AP on it.
