My favorite anime this season is probably Re:Zero
Reading the summary might let you think that its just one of those animes that the MC get summoned to another world and do ****. Well it is, but with time travel and waifus.

It wasn't my cup of tea, dropped it after the 5th episode. Flying Witch seems to be the show for me this season.

right out bad.
I believe the term is "outright" :^)
Pretty spot on summary of Toradora though. I'd maybe add that if you're just after cute fluff it's a great series that deserves a recommendation. But if you're after deep and clever plot.. just look elsewhere. 5 Centimeters Per Second comes to mind :)

<insert female here> is best grill!
Blue-haired girl is best grill, easy (can't remember name, been a while). She's the only character that stands out as being really unique in a sea of cookie-cutting. She's clever and flawed, which makes her an incredibly interesting character.
"I saw [Twilight: Eclipse] in theaters with a girl I was dating at the time. I spent more time staring at my toes and wiggling them than I did watching this abomination. When Edward proposed to Blank Face, I finally looked up with a revelation.
I blurted out loud, in a dead silent theater full of teenage girls on opening night "Wait a minute, Edward has no blood flow. How does he get an erection?" I heard several men laughing, and had several girls turn and stare at me.
I did not get laid that night." - Berengier817

I think they did pretty well on the other girl too though, the type is a bit more used but I think the "person behind the mask" is portrayed pretty well here. Oddly enough, especially the girl MC feels flawed to me, with the insane Katana and break-in prowess which just come when they're useful plot devices and go when they're not.
Oh well. I'm currently not watching or reading anything, when I'm not stressed I start consuming less oddly enough, but I plan to continue my Nijiiro Days and Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun endeavors. And then maaaaybe something that is not a romcom. Maybe.
By the way, I've also watched Spirited Away a while ago. Great experience.
********'s a pretty good fertilizer
Trusted weebs, I mean, anime fans (namely Searz), I am looking for more animes to watch.
If anyone has seen me post here before, they might know that I know little to nothing about anime and generally disdain it due to overbearing and obsessive friends pretty much ruining it for me.
I've been trying to get myself into it lately and I just finished FMA: Brotherhood. Make me some suggestions (particularly ones that are on Netflix).
Use the above mentioned FMAB as a baseline for what I generally enjoy in animes;
Yes plz;
-Generally serious tone, but can have comedic or silly moments that don't derail from the serious nature of the story
-Interesting characters that are more complex than their obvious stereotypes
-Cool **** with magic/combat. Well done action sequences
-An established and easy to comprehend lore. (FMA did this well, and though I can call out when characters are just saying **** to explain it to the audience, the essence of what they are saying is generally not hard to grasp without a flowchart.)
Noty;
-Overly silly ****
-fanservice
-Overly and unnecessarily complex
-tons o filler
-Anything involving a school as a main setting
-Hentai, you perverted ****s
And that'll be all folks. Thanks for the help, you lovable weebs <3

Definitely not boring and the first episodes are pretty amazing in my opinion. Things just fall off a bit later on
I totally agree. It was really good until they went to the beach house imo.
