After the nerf on patch 8.1, I'm enjoying Fleet Footwork more than I do the other two keystones. Have you tried it? It's working wonders for me.

What about Building Black Cleaver? is the extra shred worth it? and would the 400 HP make a difference?

Why PTA but not Lethal Tempo?

Polartech (3) | January 25, 2018 8:32pm
Im agree with ThatStarChaser, Lethal Tempo is really useful than Press the Attack, especially in lane phase. During Lethal Tempo Kayle can Harass hardly her enemies in lane and she can farm really more fastly and safely!!! And the wonderful thing is that Lethal Tempo will refresh at every Auto-Attack, even if you are focussing a minion and your opponent si only near it...!

Saved by your guide lmao. Was dumbed on toplane by a 4-premade while never playing top before, and first time Kayle as she's my only toplaner champ, but got through easily with this guide :p Thanks a lot!

this guide needs an update now more for the Runes than anything else with this new Season and Kayle Nerf/Buff

Kamisshake (10) | January 10, 2018 7:35pm
Runes don't change. Lost some innate attk speed and base attack damage. You build those anyways, and now at lvl 9-10 you get full Righteous Fury (E) uptime I believe. Good to go. Perhaps build rageblade earlier if you want is the only thing.

I've been following your guide for a while, and I'm happy to see you updated new runes. :) What do you think of using Sorcery as the primary path, with comet, ultimate hat, transcendence, and gathering storm? (Precision secondary, with legend: alacrity and either cut down or triumph)

Also, any tips for early game with the new runes? Having less cdr and attack speed really makes it miserable sometimes.

If you didn't take transcendence, what would you buy for extra cdr? Lucidity boots?

Kamisshake (10) | November 9, 2017 4:26pm
Just not as good; it doesn't really play to the champion's strengths. The 3 hit thing from precision primary does quite a bit of damage, and you don't get the bonus attk speed from sorcery secondary. You can do what you want, but if you were to use sorcery as the primary, it would be more for an ap kayle build which is just inferior, it would seem.

Play better? I didn't notice much of a difference, don't play aggressive when your E is falling off or on CD. You can base early and often by pushing and using the strengths of the champion.

I would always take it, as the only other comparable node there is celerity; but cdr boots are a fine alternative. No other traits really fit into the style, imo.

That build was really good, thanks for comparing other builds such as Rylai and Runaan to your build so we could learn difference, Kayle really doing well with Wit's End and Guinsoo's Rageblade, thanks 4 guide, I'm actually using 2 Greater Quintessence of Attack Speed instead of Greater Quintessence of Ability Power, 14%->24%, feels much better? Ty again :3

I think it is important to have the information presented, so I include the argument for why mine is better. I'm glad that you appreciate it. Good thing quints don't matter anymore so I don't have to keep discussing this eh? lol

Hello there! First of all, thank you for this great guide! I've started playing in January this year, got myself to Silver IV now (with Jhin) and played Kayle since February in normals, sometimes in rankeds. I've tried a lot of different builds, runes & masteries, and not just for one time, but each for about three weeks at least.

Well, your build, runes & masteries etc are fitting perfectly for me, that's why it's my favourite guide and again, thank you for being responsible for all my amazing wins with her!

Yesterday in ranked, I've finished my core items (Nashor's, Berserk's, Wit's and Rageblade) and the game went not too well for the other lanes (I played against Darius and when I've shredded his Tier 2 tower, the other lanes were still in laning phase with not having done any tower at all). My Premade recognised that this game, my high damage and sustain potential was THE thing to save us, and as he is a Diamond player, I just asked him what he thinks I shall buy now. And he just randomly said Blade of the Ruined King. (The enemy team: Darius top, Lee Sin jungle, Kata mid, Sona sup, Jinx adc)
Thirst I thought wtf? They don't have sooo tanky champs, as I shredded Darius even before I've finished Rageblade as my 4th item, and just a little damage? But when I was in a 3v4 fight, I've not only shredded them again, the lifesteal was amazing as hell! And this item choice increased my survivability so much, that we won the game.

Ok long story, but what do I want to say? I wanted to ask you, what do you think of BotRK (as 5th item or earlier?). I mean yes, it depends on the enemy team, on the situation, on my playstyle...
I can tell you my playstyle: poking as hell, aggressive as hell, pushing when my wards are up, usually the first one to make a tower, usually the first one to have the Tier 2 tower before any other tower has fallen, and every third game or so, staying in front of their inhibitor when the other Tier 1 towers have fallen. I consider myself a bit egoistic (heal, ult) and typically lane afk, I start being in team fights when my team really tells me to do or when I have the Tier 2 tower while all my towers are still standing
and if there is a huge 4v5 team fight in the middle....guess who's destroying the enemies base instead.

So yeah, that's it. What do you think of BotRK?
Oh, and in team fights: I love to stay in the middle of the enemies, damaging all of them, ult and continue damaging as hell. I rather prefer to go all in and die but have peeled the enemies enough so my team can get them finally. I'm not the one who wants to have good stats (mostly I have nearly as many deaths as kills), I'm more the sacrificer to make it easier for my team and the one who goes for structures rather than kills.

Sorry for the long comment!

Blade is a good item on Kayle, I just don't think it should be purchased if you don't need the %hp damage. I think as a 5th item, for this build, something like Void Staff will give you much more value in total. That doesn't mean you can't build Blade, but you are focusing on on-hit magic damage with this build, so you will want to build towards scaling your magic damage.

Sometimes you will need %hp damage, but I feel the Bloodrazor jungle item is a better choice for this purpose on Kayle; if you want/need the %hp damage, just jungle.
