You ever thought the league of legends items look rather bad and you find better pictures out there like for LoLFantasy? There is a rather easy way to change that around:

First: You need a program to change .swf files which are used to store pictures of items. My preferred free programm for that is JPEXS Free Flash Decompiler, it lets you easily replace the item pictures.

Second: Go to \Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_air_client\releases\0.0.1.214\deploy\assets\imagePacks and first create a backup for all files. Then, open "ImagePack_items.swf" in the FF Decompiler, there you can find under pictures the pictures of the items.

Third: Use "Replace..." to change one icon to your preferred picture, do note it must be 64x64 and .png

Fourth: Save the changed File.

Now test it ingame through "Recommended Items" if it has worked. Do note that you need to restart your client for this. If it was successfull, it could look like this:

Warning: Always check if everything is correct after patch day, it can really mess up your hard work.

This provides an option to creat a whole texture pack for League of Legends in a new style, similar to Minecraft.

INB4 Riot makes you pay RP for Item Picture changes. Pretty cool post, though :)

Well, found out that it only changes the client and not ingame, as everything ingame is now stored on riot side, so you can't ever edit it. Tho, it would be possible to completly mod the client into a different look as all pictures and animations for it are saved in swf-files.

Complete personal client skins are now possible!
