Sheen - Revolver - Morellos has worked great for me. Lich bane isn't really that important as a first item because you aren't going to have a lot of ap to go with it, and Void staffs magic pen isn't as effective as late game, making it a bit of a waste. Morellos gives you more survivability, 400 Mana, 20% CDR, Gwounds and 100 AP for only 2900 Gold. Building that into lich bane then gunblade made me feel consistant in damage pretty much the entire game which is great.

Honestly though, AD ezreal feels so underpowered because you solely rely on your q for damage, AP ezreal gives you access to your W's insane damage/poke, and your ult as well. Ezreals has pretty amazing team fight potential, he can fight from across the map, he can siege the enemy team when they are trying to contest turrets eventually making them recall or initiate a fight with low hp, and his built in flash is just what an adc needs. AD ezreal really only has access to poking the enemy team and his ult/w is not enough to lean in on team fights.

I love playing Ezreal and I main it as adc, before I used to play it mid, but after seeing this guide it lit a fire into me and I was like:"This is it!" Ap Ezreal is so fun!

With guide had a match ups for all champions, but lane basis are understood.

Hey I also wanted to ask you, as a higher elo player, what your opinion of this idea I've been brewing... So Rylais recently got it's nerf, 2600 gold now makes this a pretty quick rush core choice.. So I've been testing this early rush core: Sorc Boots, Sheen, Hextech Revolver & Rylais... Rylais slow applies on tip of the Mystic Shot if the Revolver procs, which it does at the same time as sheen.. Then they're slowed to line up the followup. Also helpful when ally jungler is trying to close an early gap. Any thoughts?

Hey mate :) I wrote the other guide on AP ezreal here on mobafire! I gotta say, I'm a long time follower of your Malzahar Jungle techniques and it's inspired me to do a lot more off-meta stuff. Really awesome to see your take on AP ezreal, I completely agree with changes to Gunblade, it's certainly an amazingly strong item, and really it's hugely helpful for that early advantage.
