This is no longer true by the way :P
Of course, this is just my view. If you find that it works for you, go for it! Thanks for commenting, and good luck on the Rift!
You probably want to go
I wouldn't suggest picking
P.S. Death Grasp (Mord's W) cancels Panth's ult which sucks so I just hope the player already used it after their ult but before mine!
Any thoughts on
Keep up the amazing work! +1
Hope this answers your question, and thanks again for dropping a note! Good luck on the Rift!
I like these runes more since they help at the start, and are not useless mid to late game. I would reccomend to try them and see if you like it, but i understand it is not for everyone though
Thanks for leaving a comment, and good luck on the Rift!
my friend told me to check up this guide, wow just wow this guide is so in depth that i cant believe so many information, i think you spent allot time making this, and using BBCodes great just great, this guide is one of the best i ever saw, nice job.
First of all, thank you for this guide, it helped me a lot and still does. But I have a few questions:
1. DFT vs. Dorans Shield.
Some of the matchups where you suggest going for DFT often build Dorans Shield (eg. Darius). Doesnt the passive refresh with every DFT-Tick and heal more than you deal damage?
2. Matchup-Section.
I noticed that some matchups that I frequently encounter are not (yet?) listed, especially in the R-Z section (eg. Riven, Shen, Galio, Tryndamere...) Do you plan to update it?
3. Falling behind/Building tanky.
In a recent game, I got a Renekton fed (well, my jungler did his part too, but I started it :-) ), a similar thing happened with a Jax. In both cases, I couln't go anywhere near them anymore, so I decided to A) Roam a lot more and B) Build Black Cleaver into straight tank. Needless to say, I did no damage this game, I only was there too stun people and shred a bit armour. Would a Bruiser Build be viable and if so, what would it look like?
4. Demoralize-Section.
I found that the BEST way to demoralize/tilt an enemy is not to spam laugh or mastery emote, but taking the Ruthless Pantheon skin and just dance it off (AKA wiggle that glorious red butt of doom). Works everytime :-)
I think thats about it for now! Again, great guide and keep it up.
Yours truly,
Quietschisto
1. DFT. vs. Doran's Shield
I honestly don't know how the interaction between DFT and Doran's passive works. Just from reading, I would assume your interpretation would be correct, meaning it is not good to run DFT if they build
2. Stop Being Lazy and Update Matchups
As you keenly noticed, my "R-Z" Matchup section is not complete. This is due purely to be not having gotten around to it yet. Expect it to be complete in the next few weeks.
3. Tanktheon
Personally, I feel like
If you do find yourself really behind and decide going tank is the only way to help your team, try building
If this happens, your primary job would be to peel the person on your team who is carrying. You can still look for opportunistic ults, but even a tanky
4. Demoralization
Yes! Ruthless Pantheon is the ultimate tool for demoralizing the enemy. There is nothing worse then getting killed by a half-naked man who wiggles his butt after he spears you to death!
Thanks again for the comments; I hope my answers help. May you always be able to wiggle that red butt of doom, and good luck on the Rift!
Thank you for the very detailed answers!
I looked through the Champion Roster and you are right, A-Q is pretty much complete, the only real Toplaners that are missing are Camille (pretty much like Fiora, a lategame Duelist with sustain - poke early and finish her off as soon as you can) and Galio (you already mentioned him). The reason I say "real Toplaners" is that I quite often encounter random Picks in this Lane, but then again, this might be, because I still play a lot of Normals, where Randomness seems to be the standard. Also I just started my Ranked career, so I'm still pretty low ELO :-)
And just because I don't want to strop writing yet, here's a list of champions in R-Z I'd like to see and what I think about them :-)
Riven: Annoying. Her shield blocks my Q AND is an engage. Also I seem to lose All-Ins vs. Riven. Personally I like DFT here more, because she never builds Dorans Shield and so the Qs that do land, have a little bit of extra dmg.
Rumble: Not too hard. Just poke safe and stay out of range. All-In for the Kill. I like TLD here, because I want to burst him quickly, so I don't have to be in range for his flamespitter in an All-In.
Shen: Fairly easy early on, but later he is too tanky to kill. I wait for him to use an ability, so his shield is on CD, then I continue to poke and kill. He can dodge my AAs, but then again, Panth is more of a caster. I do like to Take TP, so I can follow his Ult.
Sion: I'd rate him the same as Nautilus or Maokai. Insamely tanky, has a shield and still does decent damage. At least I can dodge hist abilities pretty easy.
Swain: My other go-to Top-Laner. Again, fairly easy as he has low range. Wait for his W (Snare), dodge with W and engage. Executioners Calling sometimes pre-6 is also good. Later on, he is more useful in Teamfights than Pantheon, but if you shut him down early, his usefulness drastically decreases.
Tahm Kench: Tanky, Big **** Shield, Sustain, CC, Ranged abilities and great base damage. I just hate him and don't really know what to do against him.
Talon: Squishy all game long. Poke, Poke, Poke. I prefer TLD here, so I can burst him before he ults away or jumps like Ezio (too bad there are no haystacks in LoL). Be careful though, as he outbursts Pantheon quite easily.
Teemo: I love this lane. I outpoke him, outdamage him, have more CC etc. Maw or Edge are quite useful early. Here I don't have a preference for the Keystone-Mastery, as it doesn't matter, Teemo will feed against Pantheon.
Trundle: Haven't encountered him yet as Pantheon.
Tryndamere: Easy lane, he's a problem later on. I always build Ninja Tabi in this Matchup. I prefer DFT, because the extra burst doesn't really mean anything Post-6
Vayne: Haven't encountered her as Pantheon yet, but I could imagine that a squishy, low-range, late-game ADC is a quite nice lane for Pantheon.
Vladimir: I can't play against this guy, no matter what I pick. Poke? Nope, he just Qs. All-in? Nope, Blood Pool. You misposition for a second? He's right besides you and blood-bombs you back to the stone-age.
Yasuo: Pretty easy, as most Yasuos in my ELO just outplay themselves. Also, he can't dash from my Point'n'Click abilities. Just dodge the Steel Tempest Knock-Up and you're fine. Avoid extended trades
Yorick: Another laner I just can't deal with. He gets really tanky and in combination with his ult and ghouls, deals too much damage. Also, I can't really roam, because when I leave him alone, he just takes tower after tower after tower.
Well, that's about it, now you have the opinion of a Silver Player (that of course deserves Challenger, but ELO-Hell and bad Teammates and whatever, but it certainly is never ever my own fault and Rito plz!!!)
I wonder, if any of my opinios will be true and I'm interested how the matchups turn out :-)
Anyways, thank you for your time and have a nice day! :-)
