Thanks for the idea to add! I would definitely say the Elixir of Iron outpaces the Elixir of Sorcery. Elixir of Sorcery gives us +50 AP, 15 per 5 Mana Regeneration and 25 True Damage on Champion and Turret auto attacks. That's all fine and well, but unfortunately for the Elixir of Sorcery, the Elixir of Iron gives us 25% Tenacity, on top of +300 bonus health. We want to be ready to protect our team as much as possible, and the Elixir of Iron helps us accomplish this the best.

Hey Riku! I thoroughly implore you to mix up your build to find what is most successful for you, just know why you're picking what you're picking. I do find that upgrading to talisman of ascension right away is not always the right decision. What you build will often depend on many things such as your Carry, your team composition or the other team composition.

Ardent Censer is legitimately my favorite support item for Janna at the moment (I love when i can get a full-team Ardent Censer buff with Monsoon, but I find myself frequently hesitant to reliably purchase this item in Solo Queue. The Value of this item massively changes depending on the skill level of your Carry. Unfortunately, I find that the opportunity cost of rushing Ardent Censer over Mikael's Blessing is too great if you do not know your lane partner.

I find talisman of ascension to be an amazing positioning tool, wither you are engaging or disengaging. This does indeed help with hard-to-engage champs like Olaf, but also helps neutralize gap-closers like Hecarim, Warwick, Talon, and Sivir. This upgrade to talisman of ascension can definitely wait until 2nd or 3rd item though. It grabs most of its value in mid to late game anyhow.

Great catch L3gislacerator, I missed the Mighty Taric! I would place Taric at a 3/10. Taric excels at soaking up damage, healing his carry and stunning his lane opponents (and I don't just mean with looks). Even though Taric will make it difficult to delete his carry, he does not exceed in taking Janna's carry out either.

Do beware of his ultimate, Cosmic Radiance; it has great bait and outplay potential in early game as well as late game. Counter his ultimate with your chain cc, disengage and damage mitigation until it resolves. A good Taric can rank up to even a 5 or 6/10.

Controlling your Mana usage is definitely an important part to laning phase, but with great power comes great responsibility! Our early cooldown reduction shines during elongated trades in the early game with Eye of the Storm.

As you gain experience with Janna you will discover you very rapidly adapt to your Mana Economy. Most of your Mana efficiency stems from when you are utilizing your abilities and the value you are attaining from them. Luckily, we don't have to nearly is as responsible in mid to late game! All of our key items give us oodles of Mana Regeneration for terrorizing the enemy team.

Although, to not completely dodge your question: I find that the increased Mana usage from our 20% cooldown reduction is not too difficult to control. If you find yourself low on Mana, you have most likely gotten serious value out of your recent trades! Although Mikael's Blessing has better value in keeping your ADC alive and enhancing your kit, Locket of the Iron Solari is nothing to laugh at for sure! Haha. I just prefer to get Locket of the Iron Solari Later on since it scales with your Level, where as you get the full value of Mikael's Blessing straight away.

Wouldn't peeling your carry be more worth than giving them a shield? Plus you get all the extra healing from Mikael's. If anything I'd go Redemption over Locket.
