That used to be pretty fun :D
Yeah I mean if they're already on top of your booty then you might wanna have barrier, whatever works best for you <3
I just play as Jerry (the mouse from Tom and Jerry) and always roll with exhaust and flash. I make sure they never get on my booty. It's really a cat and mouse game. Kinda like being an assassin, but instead of finding opportunities/moments to execute your enemies you dip in and out of situations to help your teammates with phat heals, silences and damage reductions.
I always say, whatever works best for you, roll with that. Forcing someone to play a certain playstyle doesn't work in their favour. It's just what I found myself working the best for me.
Have fun :D
How was Mordekaiser's room like, was it messy? Filled with metal band posters and electric guitars? Jokes aside XD Good job on escaping the Death Realm! He should've just went with Morellonomicon.. or Thornmail if your team was heavy on physical dmg.
All you gotta know is that the GW items apply 40% healing reduction. Both Chemtech Putrifier and Morellonomicon applies GW by dealing magic to the enemy champions, whilst Thornmail applies GW when champions auto attack the player with Thornmail.
All three of them can also increase the effect to 60%. For Chemtech Putrifier it's healing or shielding allies. For Morellonomicon they gotta be under 50% of their max hp. For Thornmail your enemies got to be immobilized.
There's not much you can do against anti-heal, it's a counter build item. Things you can do however is dodging abilities so that GW doesn't apply on you. That way atleast you still get full benefit out of the heals from landing Q's and using your R.
EDIT: As of patch 11.18 when using R, Grievous Wounds gets removed from all targets before applying the ultimate heal.
Hope that helps!
It'd be a blast hanging out with you <3
If anyone else reads this feel free to join aswell, everyone's more than welcome :D
can you tell me why I should max Q over W first? I personally don't like it that much because the cooldown for the W is way to high on lower levels and this often is a problem, because I can't heal my allies fast enough.
I level like this, Q W W E Q R W Q W W R Q Q E E R E E
Can you give a statement :)?
Greetings,
MrFixIt
There are a couple of reasons I max Q over W.
Assuming you max Q:
At lv9 you've maxed Q and have 2 points in W.
Your Q will deal 230 magic dmg (+35% AP) AOE.
Assuming you max W:
At lv9 you've maxed W and have 2 points in Q.
Your W will heal for 200 (+60% AP).
So at lv9 you're already able to deal more damage than you can heal (comparing the two), when you're hitting multiple targets in teamfights your Q max will be way better, but we all know dealing damage isn't Soraka's main thing to do. So let's look at the rest of the stats.
Assuming you max Q:
Hitting your Q will deal 230 (+35% AP) AOE dmg and heal Soraka for a total of 88 (+40% AP) over a period of 4secs. during that time she also gains 10% movement speed. The important thing about playing Soraka is you always wanna heal after you hit your Q, so with a lv2 W you'll heal 110 (+60% AP) and copy the Rejuvenation effect which will be a total heal of 110 (+50% AP) over a period of 5secs. in which the ally also gets 10% movement speed.
Total: 230 aoe dmg, selfheal 88, 10% movement speed, 110+110=220 ally heal.
Assuming you max W:
Hitting your lv2 Q will deal 110 (+35% AP) AOE damage, will give Soraka 64 (+40% AP) hp and 56 (+35% AP) Rejuvenation healing to allies when using your 200 (+60% AP) healing with W.
Total: 110 aoe dmg, selfheal 64, 10% movement speed, 200+56=256 ally heal.
You can clearly see that maxing W gives 36 more healing, however if you look at the whole picture you will see that your Q damage is massive when maxing Q, winning by a whopping 120dmg and that's only if you hit one enemy champion, imagine you hit two (240 more dmg) or three (360 more dmg) - this damage is also very nice with waveclear if your team lacks damage. Not only your damage is alot higher, but your selfhealing is alot better too (24 more selfhealing when maxing Q) and we all know that sustain on Soraka is important, why? Because the amount of HP you sacrifice is much less than the amount of healing you do. Aside from that your Q scales alot more off AP than your W. And your 10% movement speed will last longer on allies.
All in all, maxing W heals slightly more and is instant, this prevents early burst but will make enemies fall back sooner than wanted if winning (team)fights as maxing Q will be overtime healing and can bait enemies to stay for the fight. Maxing Q means you won't be able to spam W early game as fast as you want but your sustain and damage is alot better.
Yes this comparison was made upon hitting your Q's, but you can't compare skills if you don't take in account their full potential, and since Soraka's W activates a part of her Q after hitting the Q the comparison was made like that. The whole point of Soraka is to hit as many Q's anyways, the more Q's you land the more you and your allies are sustained, thus maxing Q rely's on you hitting your Q and having more benefit off the potential that Q offers.
Hope that these numbers give you more reason to start maxing Q over W, or at least level them up at the same time if the early game W cooldown is too much for you.
See you around! <3
