I look at it like this: They have nothing to brag about in real life, no good achievements in sports, no expensive equipment, etc. So when they meet an equally skilled player, but said player has an un-skillful team, they get fed and brag about how you are bad because he was fed and you weren't.
I never understood why people do that. They are, as much as I hate being rude, probably in the age group of 8-11 and think it's hilarious because they aren't anywhere near mature enough to just accept the conditions and say "Good game Akali, it was close" or something.
I do what I call "Anti-Trolling". I simply agree with what they say, like if they say "Wow Akalai you are the biggest noob ever. Do us a favor and uninstall the game.", I just say "Yup, I'm definitely the biggest noob ever." and leave it at that.
But what makes it anti-trolling is having the mindset that they are just extremely immature and as long as you know the reason behind the loss, it doesn't matter what anyone else says or thinks. And if they can't be mature and admit that it was fun, then (Forgive my language) **** them.

History is the fiction we invent to persuade ourselves that events are knowable and that life has order and direction. That's why events are always reinterpreted when values change. We need new versions of history to allow for our current prejudices.
I've grown to use /ignore a lot.
It really gets to me when people insult my gameplay, so I nip it right in the bud.

Depending on my mood, whether I don't feel like dealing with their ****, refer to the bottom of the post. Otherwise, if I want to have a few good laughs and can afford the typing time rather than playing then I'll usually "anti/counter troll" too.
"MY GOD YOU'RE SO ****ING BAD I'M GOING TO KILL YOU AND RAPE YOUR FAMILY."
"I'm terrible. So bad that I deserve to have my life and family taken away. Matter of fact I'll do it for you, if you don't mind good sir."
Which usually brings even more hilarious rage.

This is the general way I respond to such idiocy.

The only way to beat a troll....is to troll yourself.
A battle of trolling where the best troll wins..
After all its a game, instead of becoming all witty and anti-trolling, have some fun and troll yourself :D! Just don't get toooo personally resulting in a BAM or report..
For example: bad akali
you say: Lolumad?!
or: Uninstall LOL
you: how do you uninstall game??? (spelling mistakes make it look much better)
i.e: hoe uninstol game?

I fight irelia at our inhib (tower went down) and I lose with her under 10% health. (she had 20 stacks at the time, there was not much of a chance, but I thought one of my teammates would be there in time :/)
Suddenly,
Irelia
Me
Lol you're horrible Akali
... whoah, what?
You're bad,
You're fed, there's not much I can do. Fed to 20 stacks = you win a 1v1
Baddie = I win
... rofl ok.
After the game is over, this:
Lolwut. (Also don't mind I have mejai + SotO. I bought them BOTH as one of our 2 nexus towers went down, and I actually got up to 10 stack by the end. Replaced Gunblade rather well considering I didn't have money for much else.)
