Well, some champions are better against other champions. But the game is pretty balanced, only thing is that some champions are much easier to play with, thus making him look OP.
Sorry Ryze fans, but i'm going to use Ryze as an example. He is one of the click and win champions, you don't have to aim his spells, like you have to to with for example Kennen's Thundering Shuriken, making him easier to play.
Karthus is also considered op, as his ultimate hits everyone on the map with no exeptions.
But players tend to use OP as an excuse for dying or loosing. sadly....

LoL is very balanced compared to many other games, but there will always be stronger and weaker champions. Rammus for example was the most OP champion in the game for a while before the recent nerfs. 90% of the games where he was played by a decent player was won.
Rammus is pretty balanced after the nerfs though.

"Blizzard spoke thus; Thou shalt not BM. And the players replied Nay, I shall Play my hand with Lethal already on the board. And so Blizzard sent unto them this Brawl of Yogg, As a lesson for their sins of Pride and Greed, for he is the Prophet of Madness and RNG. On that day, the tavern descended into an era of chaos and darkness, until the weekend passed and everyone forgot all about it. Amen. Book of SMOrc, Verse 20, Chapter 4." - Feam T
Well, some champions are WAY underpowered compared to others.
Examples: Twisted Fate's difficulty level is off the charts because he's squishy, short-ranged, and demands constant micro-management to do well.
While others like... Sion can be much easier; hard stun, shield, hp-raising skill, just need to last-hit and land stuns to do well.
The only champion that'll probably ruin your day now is a Vladimir.
Heals himself all day, and mini-nuking you every time he does...

When it comes to QQ about 'OP' champs, I think it comes from a lack of knowing what each champ can do.
Knowing is half the battle after all. If you dont know what a champ can do, you cant fight according.
Lets use Ryze since he was brought up. What do we know about him?
1. Nuke from HELL! The power to devastate team fights and solo targets. What do you do? Get MR and dont stand close together. And with any luck, you can survive his ***ult. Another good thing... Silence and or otherwise disable him. Stuns and Silence work best.
2. Mana dependent. If he has the mana he will do the dmg. Who do you deal with this?
is always nice. If you are a caster, this is my chaotic POV, invest in this. MR and its always nice to have that extra AS.
There are man champs that people dont see much, therefore we dont know how to fight them. Some champs are just right click and win, while others require skill and timing. Either way, do some research and get better.
Someone mentioned Karthus... All I have to say to that is this... MR and be sure never to drop below 15% health. Or make sure you have a AP heavy Soraka so she can heal the team before the Karthus bomb hits.

vladamir is shut down by so many things - ignite, dots, ignite, heavy damage, ignite, magic resistance, ignite, heavy cc
did i mention ignite?
the only "op" champion is irelia - because she can do ANYTHING and do it well, without any consequence. The only thing that counters her is a full 5 man team focus firing her for an entire teamfight - leaving her 4 teammates free to do whatever they want.

Jet has been banned for trolling and blatant racism.
The only time a Champion has a chance of actually being OP is due to new changes causing a change in the metagame and what is better than others.
Take the transfer from AoE to Tanks to Tanky DPS. Before the earlier patches, AoE damage was king. Any team with AoE won.
Then, when Riot saw what was happening, they nerfed the AoE in different ways, making the metagame shift.
When that happened, Tanks became king. So on and so forth.
It is just a process of balancing. I agree with Searz that this game is very balanced compared to other games. Most of it is QQ. But, it also is the metagame shifts that govern what is OP or UP.

Heimerdinger is basically useless now
Apart from that only champions like Dr. Mundo and Mordekaiser will make people QQ
Oh and Vlads stupidness as a champion in general

I was just wondering what others think about this.
I'm pretty new to LoL playing like for 3 months now, but I came to the conclusion that there are no best and worst champs, it's just how you play them (and yeah aswell depending on your team a little).
But people keep saying "omg <QQ> champ XY is so op <QQ> he should get nerfed".
To me that are just flamers, if that champ is really so op why do they don't play them?!
if I posted in the wrong forum than I'm sorry.
