vladamir is shut down by so many things - ignite, dots, ignite, heavy damage, ignite, magic resistance, ignite, heavy cc
did i mention ignite?
the only "op" champion is irelia - because she can do ANYTHING and do it well, without any consequence. The only thing that counters her is a full 5 man team focus firing her for an entire teamfight - leaving her 4 teammates free to do whatever they want.
Haha, I couldn't agree more.
Vlad is no problem and Irelia is kinda OP. She doesn't bring anything special to teamfights, but her ability to shut down solo lanes is even better than Urgot's while not suffering from the problems Urgot face in lategame. She definetly needs a nerf.

Though there are champions that are better than others, certain champions shine in a certain niche.
Gangplank, for example, isn't a very common pick. His skills don't synergize a whole lot with one another, to be honest.
However, his E skill (
Raise Morale) is the only physical deny in the game. This means he can keep a lane pushed to his tower and make it possible for the jungler to gank your lane against an enemy. Not only that, but also you'll be taking one minion out of the wave of minions every time you deny - and thus, taking out gold & exp. This means that by the time you get to mid-game, the enemy's carry will be severely underleveled. This gives your team a distinct advantage in that you can kill them much easier, and they'll snowball to defeat.
Likewise, champions like Kayle may have a terrible early game (on account of being squishy and melee range), but she has a niche on a heal/poke team, where all the champions have heals and they can easily poke the enemy to death and heal any enemy pokes right off. This way they can force the enemy to recall (possibly kill them), and take the tower in a 5-man push when the majority of the enemy team is respawning or at the fountain. In the same way, veigar has a niche as an anti-mage (and a strong one at that).
So, in effect there are champions that are stronger than other champions. However, every (or most champions) have a niche where they can really shine, as long as a team is built around them (or maybe they compliment a different champion).

Aye
as you already mention Gangplank and Kayle I'd like to add my opinion about them aswell.
A lot of people told me that Gangplank is one of the noobiest champs around. Well one of the last games I've played with my cousin he took him and had a score of 28/2/21, whereas the team stats where around 55:50 for us.
As far as Kayle is concerned only played her twice on 3vs3 and I did pretty good, 7/1/3 and 8/3/1, both games lost tho (noob team ofc xD jk).
So it comes down to it, it is just about how you play the champ and your team and saying "omg your champ is op that's why we lose" is just an argument a noob will use, because he doesn't know how to play his own champ right to counter the "op" one.
But I might be wrong :P just stating my opinion.

Heimerdinger has his uses.
You have a team composition that will lose unless the game lasts 40 minutes, long enough for you to farm? Pick Heimer.
You have a team that is strong at turtling but needs help pushing? Pick Heimer.
You have a roaming team that likes to setup ganks in the jungle and need someone to cover lanes after? Pick Heimer.
Yup Heimer is great early game ...
Irelia is pretty hardcore yeah, but also depends how you build her and how your team / opponents team plays.
Saying she is op is not correct in my opinion as she does have her flaws like any other champion.
Her damage is pretty high as she also has her true damage, but placing her and a simmilar item build champion (ofcourse a champion which requires the same type of build) with the same ammount of gear, only skill will make the difference.
Things she can't do properly is flee from a battle, if she is in opponent territory and surprise ganked she has practically no evasive/escape skills.
Bladesurge can be used if you are positioned well but normally she can't get away unlike champions such as kassadin.
She also has the issue of her item build, most people use the ad/ap tanky build thus resulting lower damage then when you focus 1 of those stats, if the opponent team is tanky then irelia will get in trouble on her damage even with her true damage.
Her ultimate only picks the higher 1 of the stats so you lose extra damage there aswell.
If fed she will rule the battlefield true (but this kind of counts for nearly any champion).

Hi
I was just wondering what others think about this.
I'm pretty new to LoL playing like for 3 months now, but I came to the conclusion that there are no best and worst champs, it's just how you play them (and yeah aswell depending on your team a little).
But people keep saying "omg <QQ> champ XY is so op <QQ> he should get nerfed".
To me that are just flamers, if that champ is really so op why do they don't play them?!
if I posted in the wrong forum than I'm sorry.

I agree with what you first said about no champ is better then any other, but that is because certain players are best with certain champs. Like for me I am great at anything not a mage. :) Newer champs most always get tweaked (nerfed) one way or another; just a matter of time. As soon as they change something it usually means they change a few things(domino effect), champs or otherwise. They have to do this to create this mystery balance they keep talking about, but balance according to who? Seems one-sided in the least.
There is no spoon... Or is there?
