this doesn't mean you probably can't pubstomp with the build (you can pubstomp with any build and any champion if you know how they work, really), but it doesn't mean it's actually a viable choice
unlike xin zhao who benefits from AS to support his CC and damage output, Jarvans damage is really from his skills / his CC. The only damaging item / AS item you should really be getting is Yuumou's, because of the cooldown reduction and active. You get enough AS from the standard, so the rest of your items should generally be tanking items to improve your CC (randuins stacking with shield, for example, banshee's so you don't get interrupted)
in any situation where you face champions with good burst or strong DPS, you're just going to drop in teamfights, especially since you have to be in melee range to do anything. this is why it's important to get tank items (and this rule applies to any champion who has to be in the enemy team), without any form of survivability you're ust going to drop in a few seconds, your shield alone won't save you and it won't migitate champions damage after it's gone.

So far i've heard alot of different opinions without any facts that show whether it's correct or not.
AD/AS built jarvan, is this viable?
In my opinion it seems viable as he has a very high AS and his AD is pretty decent, though not as high as tryndamere or anything it still seems high enough.
His AS is increased by his standard (effect is doubled when activated) so it seems to scale well.
So, your opinions please and don't forget the facts ^_^.
