Nice guide; I wanna add that, now that spirit visage also ampers shields, I think it's now a core item for tank skarner if oppos have any amount of magic damage, more so than force of nature which is probably overkill, at least on the chemtank variant. Also, now that predator isn't necessary since games are less snowbally and you can buy ms items faster, I'm liking myself some aftershock again to go full undying beast, since in many matchups ulting results in a kill anyways, and being more tanky with unflinching helps getting into ult range in the first place.

I'm not sure, I get it how to use the crystals over the map. Do the enemies see who the crystals belong to or see them in principle? Does the number of owned crystals matter or does it just help jungling?
I liked what happens when the sorcery is the primary rune, to be honest. It's a lot easier to play for me.

First of all i am glad that i was helpful to you and yes enemies do see who crystals belong to. The number of owned crystals makes no difference. The only thing they do is give you mana regen , movement speed and attack speed when you are near them and own them.

Thanks a lot for the fast and helpful reply. I have skarner's shard, so it is important for me to understand if I want to get him permanently or not and how to correctly use him. Now I understand why the sorcery is not obligatory rune for him. I'll try to use the crystals instead.

I'm not even sure why I picked up Skarner (might have been after seeing a pro game), but this guide definitely gave some really good insight into building and playing the bad boy. Keep up the good work :D
