What are your reccomendations for a pure AD build? I usually go Hurricane third instead of nashors, but I don't really know where to go from there. Manamune and Rageblade taking up two slots means that to get to 75% crit I'd have to give up any defensive items like guardian angel, and it doesn't seem worth it to run IE with only 50% crit. Would you say Bloodthirster or Death's dance for more lifegain? Edge of night as an alternative to Banshees veil? or is it better to just build Nashors for the hybrid build anyways with Runaan's replacing deathcap and GA replacing Zonyas for a more AD focus.

So far this AD build for her has shown the most success. Unless you feel like you want to do a hybrid build of course, maybe Lycra can help you with that version. :)

Is infinity edge worth it though when you're only at 50% crit? I'm a new player so maybe I just underestimate it but it feels a bit inconsistant to be investing in an item that's designed for crit builds when you have less than a 75% chance to crit. what are the downsides to running hybrid? All her abilites scale off of both AD and AP so wouldn't nashors still work fine?

I think Infinity Edge is the best choice when you go AD. You still have lots of attack speed, combined with 50% crit chance you will crit a lot!

Hybrid is very good on Kai'Sa, but it's more efficient to get a Deathcap instead of Hurricane for example.

Honestly loved the guide and my god has it helped me become such a better Kai'Sa main, but I wanted to pick your brain about the Manamune build since you clearly know what you're talking about when it comes to the champ, and you're probably higher elo than me (High gold, barely touching plat). Instead of going Nashors for third item what about Gunblade? The healing you get from it is really good I have found, but it forced me to purchase an AS item since GB doesn't give your E evolve, to compensate I've been building a Runnan's to get the E evolve, along with that nice multi-target damage, then going a hourglass or GA depending on the situation. In the early game I'd also pick up double pickaxe instead of going into a tear. Of course my tear becomes online later however, with double pickaxe it is a guaranteed Q evolve at level 10 (level 9 if you have Manamune.) I've found the little extra oomph earlier on is nice, but I wanted to hear the opinion of someone who is a higher elo than my own. Thank you for creating this wonderful guide and I hope all is well!

I would definitely always buy either Hurricane or Nashors as third item. They are great items for Kai'Sa and you get the E evolve.
So the first possibility of buying Gunblade is as 4th item (ignoring boots). Let's say you bought Nashors 3rd and have now enough money for a 4th item. The most common item choice here is Hourglass. It has the (probably) best active in the game. In this current meta, lots of assassins or high damage bruisers run around looking for an ADC to kill, the Hourglass active helps a lot in that regard.
As 5th and last item, you now have the choice between Gunblade and Deathcap. Deathcap is 200 gold more expensive, but boosts your damage significantly. With Deathcap, your W bursts extremely hard and has about a 6 second cooldown. It also boosts your Ult shield a lot, since it has a 75% AP scaling.

On the other hand, if you buy Hurricane 3rd, getting Infinity Edge 4th is definitely better for your scaling, and it also costs the same as Gunblade.

Maybe you can try building it at some point, but I think it is never the most ideal buy. This doesn't mean it's a bad item though, the healing and the active could come in clutch at some points during a game.

As for the double Pickaxe early, it's definitely a good idea sometimes. When you fight a lot in lane and you have a Pickaxe already, recalling and just buying a tear feels bad sometimes, since you don't really get fighting power compared to the enemy who buys damage. So when you recall with about 850 gold and you already have a Pickaxe, getting a second Pickaxe is good.
When you can afford the full Manamune though, always get it instead of a second Pickaxe, it just gives so much AD.

I couldn't like the visuals any more honestly, absolutely awesome, though it does make me a little sad (as a Kai'sa main) that I never got her prestige skin :p Very informative, easy to read, and well-formatted. The only thing that I'd like to see added would be a combo section, and perhaps video detailing how to perform them, as that could be very helpful for players hoping to improve on .

Thank you for your nice comment! I totally agree, the visuals are amazing, but i can't take credit for them. My friend Jovy made them and did an amazing job!

I really like her prestige skin and I am very lucky I got it! But to be completely honest, her regular K/DA skin is amazing, too, and lots of people even prefer it over the prestige skin. Actually all her skins are very good and I'm constantly rotating between them.

I am not too sure about adding a Combos section, because in my opinion, Kai'Sa doesn't really have very many important combos, unlike Leblanc or Akali.
In the ability description I already mentioned lots of ways on how to most efficiently use an ability. There are still a few tricks I could add, like resetting your auto attack with Ult.

Is it worth getting some AD to evolve Q for the AP build? Which item would be good to get?

Hey Blizzardex!

Kai'Sa just went through some changes last patch, because they changed Rageblade from every other hit, to every third hit. Right now, I'm working on updating my guide to reflect that!

So I think a hybrid AD/AP build is better than building only AP.
You could try the new Manamune -> Rageblade -> Nashor's Tooth build. After you finish your 3 core items, you can build situational AP items, like Hourglass, Morello, Deathcap, etc.

If you don't like Manamune, replacing it with Stormrazor is also good!
