I recommend going for night harvester due to earlier spike which makes games a lot more carriable.

Yes, conqueror is viable as well, but it's rather situational. You take it in games where the fights will last long (Mostly enemy team having many tanks). The buildpath is different with that rune, you mostly play with riftmaker then. It's quite okay, but as previously mentioned, only good against tanks.

Yes, aery is viable on top lane. The build path is the same as with phase rush and electrocute.

Thank you a lot, I'm more than happy to hear that it helped you out. Instead of absolute hunter (I suppose you mean raevnous hunter sindce it got changed) you could go for treasure hunter to snowball even faster after a few kills or ingenious hunter to get some item haste for your hextech protobelt and zhonya's hourglass. You can try out both of them and see which one you like the best. If you got any more quesitons, make sure to ask them !

Ye, it's pretty much the same, only difference is that in top you don't really have to roam that much and you have easier time scaling. For top you kinda have to play phase rush due to it being a long lane. I hope I answered your question. If you have more of them, then make sure to ask

About the question, since all of them have a different playstyle, I recommend you to try out all of them and choose the one that fits your gameplay the most. You can go for electrocute if you want to just go burst one target down, predator for roaming and phase rush if you wish to be more mobile during fights. Personally since phase rush fits my playstyle the most, then most of the times I use that rune.

First of all, good guide, really made me enjoy vladimir. Now as I main him, I've started realizing the damage output with electrocute instead of phase rush. Yes phase rush for Ms, but as a 1v9 champion wouldn't you prefer electrocute? I feel as if it goes way better than phase rush. Phase rush only does ms but doesn't help with damage alot. I feel as the electrocute rune page should be the number one pick. Thanks again
The damage output is always higher with electrocute since that's what the rune is suppose do. When it comes to rune choices, then it's more of everyone's own choice, it just depends how their playstyle is - do they like more damage or more mobility. Personally I prefer phase rush due to mobility in early stage of the game to survive ganks etc.

First, what are your thoughts on the new conq? Early game, if you manage to get some stacks and empowered q, its gonna hurt like a motherf***. Later, heals you for a lot in teamfights.
Second, what do you think about the other build for vlad that a lot of players take? The spellbinder protobelt/rabadons one, 35% cdr instead of full cdr rush? Also, a lot of people like to take zhonyas second, and keep rabadons for either 5th or 6th item. Ive gotten told to build like this by a coach, instead of going rabadons second like how i usually do. It just seems so weak, like you barely have any burst potential early on without rabs.
Third, runes and summ spells. Flash + ignite gives you high kill potential, but with the new nimbus cloak, what do you think about ghost? Seems pretty legit for engaging in teamfights now since your so fast. For runes, I understand the advantage futures market gives you ingame. My only concern is when to use it, so im gaining the most use out of it, and not just losing 50 gold. When should I be going into debt? Which items usually?
Finally, I really need help learning how to play vlad top. I consider myself a vlad onetrick can play vlad mid really well. When i play vlad top, I have never successfully won lane, or go equal in lane. What do you do into things like jax, darius, renekton, camille? Like yea you can w their first trade. But early ur w is on like a 20s cd, and your opponents cd are lower than this. Do you just give up cs and xp to not get chunked? A lot of people say that vlad top is much better than vlad mid, but when I try playing vlad top, i feel so powerless, like I cannot do anything in lane.

Now lets get to the questions, ill answer them in the same order as you asked them.
First one:
Whats my thoughts on the new conq? In my opinion the new conquer is kinda meh on vlad :D Its not good and not bad either, it just depends on the match up, imo its good against melee match ups but bad against ranged match ups because your cooldowns are kinda high in the early game to keep it up. In the mid and late game, yeah, you can heal and stuff but you'd need to take ghost so youre not slow :D
Second one:
The spellbinder protobelt/rabadons is a good build, especially in the mid lane because most of the champions are squishy there. In top lane, it wouldn't work and ill talk about in the forth question. About the zhonyas second item and rabadon for 5th and 6th is pretty bad in my opinion because games aren't that fast like they used to be back in the old days. Games usually finish between 20-30 mins. If u leave rabadons for that late, youll probably wont get it, the game will be over before u get it. Another reason why rabadons is good for 2nd item is because people don't expect that HUGE power spike that you get from it. Even when you lose lane, you buy rabadons for your second item and you still do A LOT, you still ONESHOT squishies.
Third one:
With the new nimbus cloak (rip good old nimbus cloak) yeah, ghost is definetly a good choice, good to start a fight when flash is on cd, to roam bot or even catch up to ppl. Futures market, one of my favorite rune in the game.:D You always want to use futures market when you get a bigger item such as hextech revoler or fenish codex. Also you want to use this to waste less time in base. Lets say you want to buy a hextech revolver and youre dead (works even when youre not dead)then you buy it and you are -20 gold in debt, you go to the edge of your base (the fountain area) and you wait there until it goes to 0 or 1 and then you move, you get the -50 only if you leave the base when your gold is below 0. You also want to use it when you get a full item such as hextech protobelt or sorcere's shoes. There are some special occasions aswell. You can use it when a item single item is too expensive for you and youre missing some gold for example a needlessy large rod.
Forth one:
So, how do you play vlad top? First of all, you ALWAYS want to go 45% cdr, without that, its very hard to play top lane. Also you always want to take phase rush in top lane because with that, you dont need to waste your w to run away, just q e and aa and you can kite enemy laner. When youre winning your lane, you ALWAYS want to freeze as vlad. That way you can even win against nasus, done that myself, outdamaged him because of my 45% cooldown reduction and becuase he didnt have any stacks because i freezed. You always want to use w when you really need to use it. If youre losing lane, you still want to freeze the lane, wait until enemy pushed towards you and start to freeze, dont let minions get under your tower, This is good against champions like renekton. One way to use w in top is if you need to counter a ability such as dariuses q or pantheon's w, you go e and w you know. I agree that vlad top is much better than vlad mid because you can easily scale, you dont have to roam and stuff.

I saw in one of your sample full builds, it had morellonomicon. Imo, i feel like that item is really horrible stats wise, unless the enemy team has like a soraka or a lot of healing. Besides that, I don't know why the item is any good(Took most of this from one of Ls rants on his stream). Like wouldn't buying liandres, or spell binder be way better? Spell gives you spd, 200 ap when you use the item, really good for burst. Liandres gives you that 10% extra damage over time, which is easy to proc with your ult.
Also, regarding the top lane thing, I see why you would want to freeze as vlad. But like from my past experiences, once it hits lvl 3+, I just get zoned away from my own minions when the lane is even. I don't know what to do, like when I try to freeze, i just get all ined, and when I pool, i lose a chunk of health as well. Against a camille for example, if she e ws me when Im trying to freeze, i could ew, but it would break the freeze, and she could trade with me again once her abilities comes back up, and this time I don't have w. So when I don't have w, camille wil just walk up into my face threaten with e trade again. Something a renekton, if he ws he gets a range increase, which makes kiting with phaserush real hard if he double dashes through your minions and you don't have w.
