on your first back should you instantly buy serrated or go for stalkers blade first?
in what circumstance should you rush black cleaver even if the enemy team is not really building armor.. I just always rush it but I feel it sometimes is a mistake.
thoughts on tri or even Deaths dance? my full build is typically warrior, cleaver, DD, boots, GA and tank item.
trying to figure out how to be more aggro.. I gank a lot but the "high" dmg is not really what I want and there to push the jgs out or have "true" impact. I feel the black cleaver puts me behind as it does not contribute too much dmg but shred, hp and cdr.
The reason I don't rush Black Cleaver is because I almost never build it on Rek'sai. Would you ever build a Black Cleaver on Talon or Zed?
Rek'sai is listed and played as a bruiser by many players and can do that job passably, but in all honesty Rek'sai's strengths are as a burst damage assassin and a dueler, picking off squishies or countering split pushers, or even just dueling the enemy jungle at early levels while invading. Naturally CDR is "good" on any champion, but it is more of a priority for those champions that want to stay more constantly engaged, whereas Rek'sai's true strength is in her more "ebb and flow" style of combat. She is simply outclassed in the brawler section by champions like Shyvana, Sejuani or Vi. In cases of tank-heavy enemy teams I'd rather lock one of them or just dodge.
Stalker's Blade should always be finished before Dirk. It means delaying your spike a bit, but it allows you to more healthfully clear and gank more safely. Dirk really shines in those 1v1 encounters when you have to be able to 100-0% your opponent, but completing the jungle item first allows for more sustainable ganking potential and allows you to steamroll your team much faster.
If the enemy team rushes armor your best bet is to get a Last Whisper right about the same time and complete it into whichever item the game demands. You can see I've got a section of items for tank-buster, but once again I tend to avoid playing Rek'sai in tank heavy games.
Likewise with Trinity and Death's Dance, Rek'sai plays best when taking short, quick fights and then retreating into the jungle to heal as needed. Death's Dance is more viable in general if you find yourself getting bursted, but in general I'd prefer to build a single defensive item and leave the offensive slots for more aggressive picks.
I'll be honest here, if you want to play bruiser Rek'sai almost every other guide on here goes that route, but once again she's simply outclassed by Vi or Sejuani. I would highly recommend trying Vi in particular out if you haven't yet and want to stick to that playstyle, and I would never say that bruiser Rek'sai is not viable either, so keep that in mind!
