Overwatch's Season is really fast making the game fresh and making boosters and stupid players gtfo by ranking up quickly or waiting for the season to end by playing non-competitively.

God my acc decayed from plat to gold now I'm in elo hell.

Because League isn't Overwatch and League doesn't have to care what Overwatch is doing. The game is freshened up just fine, and honestly, it sounds like you're more upset your account decayed more than anything (which is not League's fault and I'm unsure how halving the seasons is going to save you there).

I find League of Legends' seasons to be of a fine length, maybe agree to a slightly lesser length, but nothing too drastic. I know it can be frustrating to feel like you achieved your goal, only to fall from that goal due to longer periods of not maintaining that rank, which of course is a system meant to incentivize you to keep playing and either moving up, staying where you are (if you are at that skill level) or move down if the skill level has shifted and you now belong on a lower rank.

Of course, it can be frustrating when the community is so toxic, when you feel that every game you get that one feeder who just ruins things, when you just can't seem to get of this "elo hell", but the only option is to keep playing and shift your mentality to avoid becoming too negative and toxic yourself. I found that it helps me to instead try to improve my play on the champions I play and maintain a consistent level of play that I'm happy with, and if I end up losing because of a dumb mistake a teammate did? Well, that's just part of the game and I will slowly climb, especially if I play champions that have a huge impact in solo queue (i.e hard carries that doesn't need a lot of teamwork to do well, but more-so requires you to play better than the opponent).
