Need mana? Rush a Catalyst, or use mana regen runes. Nocturne isn't a skill-intensive champ - he doesn't spam them, but uses them in bursts. If you're that mana hungry, grab blue buff. No reason to get a Manamune, which gimps your early game damage and is a generally bad item on most champs.

Manamune is great on Urgot, Corki and Ezreal. Not so much on Nocturne.

If I'm jungling I don't need it
If I'm laning I'm doing it wrong
Generally I find that I need to go back before I run out of mana so :L

"Blizzard spoke thus; Thou shalt not BM. And the players replied Nay, I shall Play my hand with Lethal already on the board. And so Blizzard sent unto them this Brawl of Yogg, As a lesson for their sins of Pride and Greed, for he is the Prophet of Madness and RNG. On that day, the tavern descended into an era of chaos and darkness, until the weekend passed and everyone forgot all about it. Amen. Book of SMOrc, Verse 20, Chapter 4." - Feam T
