will you be changing the runes slightly since eyeball collection is no longer in the game? because i think the only viable rune for jungle is grisly mementos

Hey, sorry for the late reply but university and these kind of things.

Mementos surely can be good for support as it is proven but in jungle I feel like it's bad. No Eyeball collection means less AD means less Damage. I've been using Phase Rush and Spear of Shojin and it works great, didn't try any other runes yet.

Thank you and you're right, it's common with the guides that have a lot of code, you can't really see the mistakes that easily haha, thank you for pointing that out, it is now fixed.

is it worth right now going full tank from the start with dead mns or force of nututre and no damage items

also is it best to always go tank with phase rush since i want to preotect my allies

sundred rn is just too good on poppy and i am play poppy top lot nd just started to lern her jungle so i m having some proplems with items in the jungle role

You can always go full tank and still deal decent damage. As you won't go for damage items Phase Rush should be the best, of course you can use every other rune but they won't scale at all with your bonus AD, etc. Maybe Conqueror works here as well but if it's about protecting allies then Phase Rush for mobility. Sundered Sky is great and you can always build it if you're new to jungle on Poppy. You can easily build the same items you build on top and adapt to it.

Kocykek (9) | April 17, 2024 4:12am
Hello, I can coach but right now I'm still adapting to this season and that results in me limit resting. So I wouldn't coach right now and perhaps do it someday.

It's a good guide for those who are interested in JG Poppy especially for starters. As those players progress with the build will eventually make a build of their own to keep climbing. Most importantly the dedication of this user to go this far on Poppy let alone jungle role is impression and inspiring.

A major salute for this user especially from this one trick pony Poppy main. I may not be the greatest one trick Poppy and don't see that title, but I do enjoy experimenting on the champion.

Hey dude, first of all well done on the great guide and visuals, it's really sweet and I can see all the work behind it as a creator too. I would advice however that you give less building options like PsiGuard said and you should stick to the viable/ more consistent ones at least in the top part the the guide.

So I kinda wanted your opinion on my build since you've got experience now on Poppy. I have been playing her jungle competitively (high-diamond university tournament teams) for quite a while now and I'm starting to really get a good grasp of her kit. I do believe the most consistent and reliable rune which works best at high-elo is Phase Rush, which scales super well and allows you to follow flashes fairly easily and escape dodgy situations. Another reason for the sorcery primary tree is the Manaflow Band which I deem necessary in mid-game and late-game when you have to stay on the map for longer and can run into mana problems without it. I then take Transcendence which is a great way to get scaling CDR and lower cooldowns on shutdown. As you're going to be engaging more often with Phase Rush and Transcendence, it also means you'll use more mana. As a last rune I usually run Gathering Storm since Poppy's AD ratios on Q and R are really good, but Waterwalking is also rly decent so I'm still figuring that out. To compliment this build, I take Iceborn Gauntlet which makes you much stickier and allows your team to catch up to your picks. The mythic passive also gives you tons of AD and the bigger size allows you to frontline much better and tank for your team since you're invincible but also (in my experience) helps to get better angles against walls. (Bigger poppy hitbox means covering more angles and the game will automatically stun the target if one of the e angles hits the walls)
So, what do you think? :) I'd also like your opinions on secondary tree resolve with Font of Life and Overgrowth. I see you take Revitalize in your guide however, should I be taking it over overgrowth?
Have a good day :)

Thanks for positive feedback! I'm already planning to change some builds and other things that PsiGuard mentioned so the guide will be improved from time to time.

Phase Rush and Iceborn Gauntlet is a great combo for sticking up to opponents. It works even better if you play her competitively as you do - Your teammates can easily follow up. It also helps to gap close ranged enemies. I haven't seen yet that size from Iceborn Gauntlet passive increases the chance of hitting Heroic Charge but frontlining with this item is a good choice. I'm not sure about Manaflow Band. I think Nimbus Cloak will be better since it gives additional movement speed on summoner spell cast and you can easily gain mana back in the jungle. Also it takes some time to stack this rune. Although you can take it if your planning to buy Manamune. Transcendence is a good choice. Bonus ability haste is nice, especially on Poppy whose entire kit relies on abilities. You say that with lower cooldowns you are spending more mana. That's a good point for Manaflow Band rune but to be honest you can just buy mana items or fight mostly in jungle where mana regeneration is strong. I would take Gathering Storm if I'm playing for late game against scaling junglers like Evelynn or Taliyah. Waterwalking is for snowballing early or just a safe option.

Font of Life is pretty much a support rune that heal your allies of any used abilities by Poppy.
Overgrowth helps in tankiness as it gives more health. It works perfectly with Iceborn Gauntlet. Revitalize gives more shielding and healing and additional heals works on Font of Life as well. This rune is only good if you have something to support with like:
- Font of Life
- Aegis of the Legion
- Redemption

...or have supports like Yuumi, Soraka, Lulu. You can also go tank items like Gargoyle Stoneplate or Spirit Visage to increase the power of shields and healing even more.

Have a nice day too ^_^
