whats your opinion on naayil's new BC/Iceborne build

I took quite the long break from League so I'm not really in the position to evaluate his build. But looking at the current state of Aatrox I will definetly give it a try and might include it in my builds.

Good for you, best way to enjoy league is not to play it. yeah i have been playing the build exclusively since i last commented. BC feels really good as a first item. Once you get iceborn the slows are really nice and the surviveability is much higher but the damage is still a bit lacking early. I tested it in practise tool as well as playing a few games. The BC/Iceborn build feels way better mid to late. More utility, way more surviveability and even more damage somehow late game. Eclipse is good if you are stomping lane and snowballing, but unless ur way ahead of everyone as soon as lane phase ends the damage just isnt there and on top of that you are way squishier so you just get one shot. I think this biuld is about getting out of the assasin mindset aatrox has been in for last while and more into traditional juggernaut/utility role, where ur focus is to slow enemies and survive and just **** the enemy team up as a raid boss as frontline/dive and even peel for adc's with Iceborne procs. It takes a little getting used to but definately feels much better once you work out what your supposed to be doing and also the different spikes.

Sorry for the rather late response, my break still isn't quite over yet^^. I might start playing actively again very soon, right now i'm just testing out some builds on Aatrox on my low diamond smurf. It is rather hard to find something fitting since it feels like you don't have a big impact with Aatrox anymore. I guess the current meta for Aatrox is just trying to peel as much as possible for your carries. The guide is also beeing updated in the future with BC/Iceborn beeing the main components.

What do you think in a heavy armor tank matchup to rush BC instead of mythic first? Maybe help the malphite matchup?

Personally speaking i don't like rushing BC or any item before getting your mythic first. I might give it a try in future games but right now i'm not a big fan of that idea.

Have you even spoken with EU Naayil? He has tons of videos on Youtube and twitch. Mostly where I started on the champion.

Need to play some games first before i can judge the nerfed Unflinching

any way to play into malzahar top? it feels so oppressive and hard to follow up on a spellshield break since im under turret 24/7

I don't have much experience playing against a Malzahar top but i would suggest to let him push in the wave and don't let him poke you out of lane until you are level 5. Try to punish him for walking up by hitting your first Q and back off until your Q resets. Then you should be able to go for the usual Q1 into W trade to all-in him. After that manage the wave to perma freeze and kill him everytime he walks up since he is completely immobile.

How do you counter volibear with aatrox?

I will add Volibear into the "Threats" sheet. Won't take me long so just be patient.

I apologize if this sounds realllllllly stupid, but would Ravenous Hydra/Tiamat be good when snowballing?

I don't know anyone that was perfect at playing Aatrox for the first time. Take your time and try to acquire new knowledge every game. That would be my best tip for you.

Henlo Heckin Hecker of a Hecki! I saw you requesting a review of your guide on the forum, I'm rather late, as I have been super busy. But here I am! These are going to be the things that we are going to be looking through ideally with this review. STRUCTURE: This is basically how you code, place and use code from a tidy and neat viewpoint. CONSISTENCY: Basically how often you switch things up. Some parts might be a mess and others great. INCLUDINGS: These are things that could be added like Runes, Items, Matchups or entire sections. MY CONCERNS: Things that I find not really interesting to apply to a guide or just filler.
This section of ones guide as you know should be both detailed and easy to read without being too overwhelming. You have notes on your runes and your items, it's straight forward, simple and isn't too much of an overwhelming sight like some people have in their guides. Though one thing I would try to add if I were in your shoes, is a way to make this section tidier. Instead of having Plated Steelcaps and Mercury's Treads multiple times in multiple builds. Consider something simplistic and easy to understand, as most people will simply copy paste (in order as shown on your guide) the items, rather than rationally understanding why (this) and (that) works better in any given situation. Example Overall, this section is okay on the information provided. It'll be up to you if you decide to make those changes.
As you may know this next section is the "cheat sheet" portion of the guide right below items and runes. You have a lot of text here. Which is good to have, but all of the [EXTREME] this [IDEAL] that. It's unnecessary due to the fact that the guide will already give that highlight right above it, and in the section they are clicking on. Might want to manually remove it, as it just becomes filler text.
Severely lacking. I understand, not everyone has enough time to run around and learn how to use BBCODE. But it would do you a world of good if you were to take a gander at any of the guides located HERE and HERE! Once you get a handle for how a guide should "Look" take a stab at coding up some at the very least, basic tables or columns to make things look neat, then fill out some sections with video references and more in-depth information.
Put some effort in your body text, which comes in the form of BBCODE, along with fixing and tidying up some of the cheatsheet section, and you'll have yourself a really decent looking guide. Don't punch me! ~Cat

Hello Cat! Thank you for all the advice given. I am constantly trying to update the guide to make it perfect for anyone that wants to learn Aatrox regardless of their experience. I will try my best to implement the advice you have given to me. I thank you for reading through and for all your advices!
