Hi, can you please update the guide base on the latest patch 13.10?

I imagine it's not a big thing, but for the ability haste vs attack speed, how impactful is it if you realize you need the opposite mythic (AS with Jak'Sho vs AH with Riftmaker)?
Also just wanted to say thanks for all your work on this guide, your matchup chart in particular has been invaluable since I picked Morde for my first main.

Very happy to have been able to help you, and thanks for the feedback! Regarding your question, it's really not that big of a deal. The idea behind the attack speed vs. ability haste shard is mainly that you benefit slightly more from attack speed when building Riftmaker since you have more ap and thus your autos deal more damage. Ability haste is better on Jak'Sho mainly because you get to press W more often. If I'm being honest, the only real difference I have felt so far between both shards is that you will have an easier time last-hitting minions in the laning phase if you go for the attack speed shard. Ultimately, you shouldn't blindly follow everything my guide, or any guide for that matter, says. Not everything here is perfect, of course that isn't to say I didn't put alot of effort into it. This is just all the experience I gathered from playing Morde for over 1000 games, and if you like this build/playstyle, then great! If some detail or item feels off, then don't feel forced to build it anyway just because my guide says so. I guess what I'm trying to say is: have fun and don't think too much about what's good and what's not.

Thanks for taking the time to answer! I suspected that was the case but I wanted to ask just to be sure since I only started League last spring and I'm still getting a feel for the scale of some stats. And I'm for sure factoring in my own experience, especially in low (unranked, but maybe bronze?) elo where everything feels very swingy, but having a thorough guide makes it much easier to adapt when things go off the rails, for better or worse, or when there's a matchup I just haven't seen yet. Demonic -> Jak'Sho has been my favorite build for sure, I like the damage from Rift but I encounter so many bursty teams it just isn't as effective, and nothing beats getting out of laning phase and feeling unkillable in team fights.

i have 2 questions. first which mythic is the best on morde right now. second this is my opinion but shouldn't darius be an easy matchup instead of a skill one.from my experience as a darius player it can be pretty difficult to trade with him due to his huge w shield and healing especially since the darius player hast to take ghost and after lvl 6 he is very hard to 1v1 with darius

Jak'sho is usually the best mythic to go right now. Only build Riftmaker if the enemy team has 3 or more tanky champions.

I played the Darius vs. Mordekaiser matchup countless times from both sides and can confidently say it's overall a skill match-up that's in Darius' favor early game, then in Mordekaiser's favor in the mid game and finally slightly in the favor of Darius in the late game again, although it heavily depends on the rest of his and your team. Whoever wins lane is usually decided by how well the players know their champion's limits. Good players constantly know who would win in an all-out fight and play accordingly.

I've done like 50 something games now playing iceborn gauntlet first item with TP ghost summs and demonic embrace second item and imo it's a billion times stronger than jak sho or riftmaker. I encourage you to try it out also i build cosmic drive 3rd or 4th item cause the item is extremely strong on morde.

I'll try it but stats say it sucks. Lower pickrate and winrate than Riftmaker and Jak'Sho. So far I've only really built it a few times vs. Tryndamere or a full ad comp. Maybe it works better in lower elos but I don't really like it that much.

I played Diamond EUNE but ive had a better experience with it than Jak sho, riftmaker was cool but I didn't like the fact i had no tankiness until like the 3rd item which is extremely problematic for a lot of matchups i tend to face, but it's probably much better against tanks, whenever i play against a sion/malph/rammus the lack of damage with iceborn is obvious so then true damage from rift might be much better. But it's just my experiment :')

do you think Morde mid is still viable? what is your opinion on it?

Your Desired Username (2) | January 22, 2023 2:12am
It's a good niche pick against some of the melee mid laners such as Katarina or Sylas but I almost never play him mid because I don't like laning vs. mages, although you can make some of the mage match-ups work with a Rylai's rush.

Is Jack'Sho still viable for Mordekaiser? Because this patch the item got a interesting balance change where the porcentual resistances it gave now only applies to the bonus ones instead the total resistances

Yes, absolutely. Jak'Sho got nerfed for builds where it's the only tank item. If you build Jak'Sho on Mordekaiser, you're going to want to follow it up with even more tank items, such as Sunfire, Randuin's, Spirit Visage, and so on. This gives you a ton of bonus resists and, if you look at the new Jak'Sho, you will see that the ratio for the bonus resists got increased, so this "nerf" does not affect the tank build on Mordekaiser at all.

My fisrt main was Mordekaiser and with him I made my fist Pentakill, nowadays I don´t use him very much but i know how to play and build him in all different cases. This guide is very complete and it has an important information to know about. Lethal tempo is not very good maybe but in general it works against Yasuo and Yone because you have a better early against them, also against sett but most of the cases is better Conqueror, the heal with Riftmaker is and important number and it help you to survive in a fight.
Before the season 11 it was more fun playing morde because you could build him anything and he will destroy, now you always have to build him something more tank and also is broken but a bit different.
I´ll made a guide of Mordekaiser when I have time. Regards!!

You know I never see a guide mentioning this, but I think it's very important, you can manipulate your ult border to your advantage. If you ult behind the enemy while they're pushing you, they're limited to either staying where they are or going under YOUR tower, it's a unescapable situation, similarly, if you ult behind them near their tower, they can't go hide under their tower anymore. That's because the border is defined based on Mordekaiser's position every time.

You're right, I should probably add that to my guide. Thanks for the tip!

Update: Just added it in the Ability Usage and Mechanics/Combos Tab. Thanks again for the suggestion!

I don't like doran's ring because mana regen is completely wasted. are you sure it's worth buying?
2
Your Desired Username (2) | January 3, 2023 8:14am
Read Doran's Ring's description carefully: "If you cannot gain mana, heal for 45% of this value instead."

If your champion is manaless, like Mordekaiser, or if you are full mana, you will instead heal for 45% of the mana instead. This makes it a viable option for Mordekaiser.

love this guide for the humor alone. Will it be updating?

Thanks for the feedback and yes, I will probably update this guide after I collect enough personal experience with the new items to make valid recommendations.
