Hey, your observation is correct and the training range is not bugged.
I do have a few comments/remarks for you to think about, as things may not be as straightforward as you think:
To properly compare the mythics, I think it's best to go in training range again and practice (full) combo's on dummies and see what the total damage is. You can also play a looot of regular games and switch between mythics to see how they perform.
I do have a few comments/remarks for you to think about, as things may not be as straightforward as you think:
- The AP bonus is only up until safeguard gets popped. Yes, on
Lux you have the range to stay away from enemies and poke them from afar without them being able to hit you. However, once anything hits you (which will happen, as killing others is part of the game), it will be popped and you will be left without the AP bonus. Now you are in combat, fighting people and have less AP than you'd have with other mythics (ignoring the mythic bonus for a bit).
Luden's Tempest and
Liandry's Torment both grant damage passives, in the form of an extra bit of 'burst' damage (Ludens) or burn damage (liandries). This damage can add up a lot and can have more impact than the extra AP crown gives.
- Although
Luden's Tempest and
Liandry's Torment do not give AP on their mythic passives, they do give flat mpen and haste respectively. The former being a buff to your damage, and the latter being a small buff to like everything (more haste = more abilities = more damage, CC, shields).
Crown of the Shattered Queen does give more HP at max level, and the additional AP it gives will also make your shields more effective (which imo, makes it a very good buy if you are a struggling
Lux and your team is doing better job). All-in all, from the three mythics it will definitely give you the most survivability while also giving you extra utility to help your team.

I read that you dealt alot less damage than if you ran either ludens or liandrys.
It does deal a lot less damage. While you get the same amount of ability power, if not more, you also have to take into account their abilities.

I realized that the safeguard affect that grants bonus ap is active all the time since safeguard is permaup until popped.
This is the last point: if you're in an extended fight and get hit, just once, you lose all of the ability power until the shield comes back up.
So no, it's not a bug, it's just that the abilities of liandries anguish are just as important, if not more, than the ability power they provide.

Leagues items are very confusing sometimes lol. I did test out all three and crown seems to sit in the middle in terms of damage with ludens coming in first liandrys coming in third. If the dummies were beefier however, liandrys would prob beat out both but I cannot tell. Ludens seems to do like 200-355 damage more depending on if your full build or not. Sadly I could not tell how much the magic pen might increase that damage on the dummies. Same prob as liandrys these dummies are very uncooperative regarding my mythic tests. Both of these mythics also benefit from oblivion orb better than crown as well. As ludens can spread it around to multiple peeps and liandrys keeps it proccing longer. I still like crown the best even after considering it (saves my newbie self from clicky assassins), but will prob take the others if their is a lot of healing or beefier dudes to spread around orb or punish the thicker members of the legends cast. Thanks for replying and explaining this stuff to me.
