I have a complete section with tips on Vlad's possible mid opponents. Some general tips I can give you: 1) Play defensively until at least lvl 7-9. Not a bad idea to wait till level 11 depending on your opponent. 2) Last hit only early game 3) Turret hump early game if you have to. Ties in with step 2. 4) Use Sanguine Pool as an escape tool... not an offensive or initiation tool. 5) Don't under estimate Tides of Blood. Even if it is only level 1. Try to keep a couple stacks up on it. It helps you farm fast and it is a nice AoE damage ability. ESPECIALLY when you have 3-4 stacks of it up. 6) Don't underestimate spell vamp (hextech revolver ---> Will of the Ancients) on Vlad. It is very nice on Vlad. 7) Build AP 8) and it is NEVER a sure thing. Vlad is sustained damage. He doesn't have huge burst. But you can stay in the lane longer than most. Practically all.[/quote]
