Yeah Guinsoo's Rageblade is pretty amazing with Malady I think I might but it in the guide as a possible replacement for Lich Bane for those that want a bit more AS and AD.

And thank you for the support!

Dropping Lich Bane is a bad idea if you're heavily AP built. You say in your build that Ravage is Eve's main source of damage. I think you should re-think that statement.

Ravage is certainly Eve's main (basically only) nuke/heavy burst, but Eve's main source of damage comes from the combination of Hate Spike and Lich Bane.

I'm going to copy and paste a sheet of data from another post of mine showing how much better Hate Spike is than Ravage in the damage department.

Quoted:
Hate Spike vs. Ravage calculations

Assumptions: This exemplar Eve has 500 AP, 30% CDR, and Lich Bane equipped

Ravage stats:

Ravage (level 5) damage: 320 + 500 (100% of AP) = 820
Ravage cooldown: 9 * (1 - .3) = 6.3 seconds
Time frame: 3 (-1) x 6.3 = 12.6 seconds (assuming first Ravage is used at 0 seconds)
Ravage dps during time frame: 3 * 820 / 12.6 = 195 dps
Lich Bane damage: 500
Lich Bane cooldown: 3 seconds
Lich Bane procs in period only casting Ravage: 3
Lich Bane damage in 12.6 seconds: 3 * 500 = 1500
Lich Bane dps in this timeframe: 1500 / 12.6 = 119 dps

Total dps for time frame: 195 + 119 = 314 dps

Hate Spike stats:

Hate Spike (level 5) damage: 85 + 140 (28% of AP) = 225 damage
Hate Spike cooldown: .8 x (1 - .3) = .56 cooldown
Time frame: 12.6 (as above)
Hate Spike damage per second: 12.6 / .56 * 225 / 12.6 = 402 dps
Lich Bane proc damage: 500
Lich Bane procs possible in time frame: 4
Lich Bane damage per second: 4 * 500 / 12.6 = 159 dps

Total dps for time frame: 402 + 159 = 561 dps

That's a difference of 247 damage per second. Translated to (247 x 12.6) 3112 damage.

Even with an example which lends favour to Ravage, Hate Spike still comes out way on top. And the more AP or CDR you have, the higher that last number goes.

MP is a very useful stat to build on, as it can help your team deal with tanks, but there are two points here I must raise about your build:

1) As Eve (or nearly any smart dps), you really shouldn't be focusing/aiming tanks in team fights. Eve's role in team fights (at least mid game when everything is still pretty even) is to yo-yo into fights and finish off low enemy dps, to pick off stragglers who think recalling at a nearby tower is safe (yay for diving!), and lastly, to kill the tank/support as it runs away when its dps friends are dead. With the appropriate space and judgement, most enemies who fall below 30% in a team fight shouldn't be able to get away. Seeing as MP is mainly useful for the attempted destruction of tanks, it's not the best idea, as they should not be aimed first in normal circumstances. One of the main things you learn playing champions like Eve is that in team fights, you strive to take down the enemy dps before it takes you down, and if you accomplish that, the tanks/support are left for dead. Similarly, when you play tanks, you learn that it is your role to protect your dps as much as possible while staying alive.

2) I realise you raise the point in that if enemies have such small MR that your MP penetrates all of it (and then some), they go into negative MR and start receiving bonus damage. I do understand that, but is it really worth the item space and rune slots? I don't think so, not in the case you've presented. If I were going to build any kind of "MP Eve", I would probably use MP Quints and Seals, AP Marks (for that early AP bonus necessary early game) and AP/lvl Glyphs. I would then use a very AP-heavy itemset in order to boost the damage, and incorporate a Void Staff for the 40% bonus MP. But really, I'd never do this and just go straight AP like an AP Eve should, because the extra AP you receive is a greater boost to damage than anything else in the game.

As an AP Eve player, you must understand where her damage comes from and how to build her. Your guide is ok. It covers some basic concepts that any Eve newbie would be thankful to read and incorporate into their game, but it does not have the depth or proper structure (in terms of skill sequence, runes, and item build) for a new player to base their game on. I would give it a 4/10. I'm not going to +1 or -1 it.

Hope my critcisms are helpful to your Eve.

[Edit: I just noticed you max Ravage before Hate Spike... Honestly, bad idea. As shown above with some sketchy maths, Hate Spike is Eve's main skill, and if you don't have it maxed out before you grab your Lich Bane then you're not doing optimal damage, and that's a bad thing.]

ps, if anyone is looking for an AP Eve build, there's one in my signature

Wrong. Any smart/experienced player, will be aware of buffs and debuffs. This is fact, and I for one destroy anyone that is willing to use such items.

Now, see, I was meaning that people won't pay attention as often as they should. Not enough smart players are out there. XD You may pay attention but the next person may not. XD

2. NEVER REPLACE THE LICH BANE!!!! It is too amazing on her XD Instead, I would replace the Abyssal Scepter as the Guardian Angel would give you enough armor and MR for a carry.

I agree. Abyssal isnt a bad item, as long as you know that you can get away with it.[/quote]

3. Decent guide XD

agreed. Its hard to make something... unique for my lovely Eve.

Big FYI.

Abyssal Scepter's aura will give away your presence.

Early game Malady is nice on Evelynn. I normally get Guinsoo's Rageblade right afterwards. Don't be fooled by the low looking stats on this item. It stacks up to 8 and with each stack you gain attack speed and ability power. You get up to 32% faster attack speed and 48 more ability power.

Sorry dude, but I think this build is ****... You say: "Through the items, runes, and Eve's ravage skill you can end up ignoring over 100 of your enemies' magic resistance. This mass amount of penetration combined with a respectable amount of AP is why this build works."

But... what if they dont build magic resist? And then you say: "as Evelynn you shouldn't be putting primary focus on tanks." But... aside the tank, who would buy items for MR? I never see in my life a carry focusing on building MR/Armor!

Sorry but this build faillll

You're missing the point here, if they don't build MR then you end up doing bonus damage to them. If they do build MR then you'll end up ignoring it all. Either way it's effective.

Don't mind this troll :)

Carry's should in fact get some form of armor and magic resist. He has 1 post and says he never seen that before... He has no idea what he's talking about.

+1 btw ;p
