Ok, i dont see anything that would make me think of an aura on that passive.
As for the penetration it gives... well i'll quote RobertMeta again
"Armor reduction and armor penetration are applied in this order:
1. Percent reduction (Bushwhack / Pounce)
2. Flat reduction (The Black Cleaver, Puncturing Taunt, etc)
3. Flat penetration (The Brutalizer, Sunder Mastery, Runes of Desolation)
4. Percent penetration (Last Whisper)"
And from what i understand and read on the internetz:
When you have 2 targets (for example) and ricochet turned on.
1st target will get a 100 physical damage hit (calculated after all resistances/armors bla bla bla)
You will get every on hit effect from this attack like lifesteal, bloodrazor procs, lizard burn, phage slow and so on...
This damage will be considered a 100% physical attack, and will get you the drawback from thornmail type of things.
Also all type of ArP will work on this one.
The 2nd target (and rest of the bounces) will get 75% of that damage. No matter what resistances/armor that person have.
So if you hit a fiddlesticks that has 0 armor with 100 damage with 1st hit mordekaiser with 492765823658 armor will still get 75 damage from riccochet. BUT if you hit morde 1st and deal 10 damage to him instead of 100 (due to armor and stuff like that) fiddle will get a 7 damage hit despite he has 0 armor.
The bounce could be considered a True damage, but it isnt since it is dependable on armor on the 1st target.
Again this needs a sold TEST ingame, since i am still quite confused about magic resisntaces...
Gotta love ingame death recap and "damage" type of damage... WTF Riot... give feedback how much is it in % magic and physical... Tired of seeing Teemos or kogs dealng... damage type of damage :P
