Answer: Only downvote a bad guide if it gets popular. Really, if you leave it, it will probably just mellow at like 3 votes. If it gains some momentum, shut it down hard. Also, read the guide (and the comments) - if the person seems civilized, then it's okay to downvote. If the person is like "RAHH THIS ITEM SUX AND EVERYONE WHO USES IT SUX" or has flamed some other downvoters, then don't bother with it (unless it's high-up). Let the people who don't have guides destroy the bad guides (and do downvote the ones that have any amount of major discrepancies that aren't a matter of preference/opinion).
New guides really don't need to be destroyed early on, unless you see one that's dressed up like a good guide, in which case you should nip that problem in the bud. 1 downvote won't affect the #1 guide, but it'll affect the #1 guide-to-be if there's a reason no one should be playing, for instance, AD sona, but the guide is 10,000 words long and is super descriptive and everything.

The way I see it, and I explained this on the other thread about downvoting. Is that you shouldn't downvote unless you have a reason, and if you do have a reason post it, they have a right to know. Don't give me that **** like "I can't think of a reason" obviously you don't like it, so there's a reason. Personally I give a reason then wait about a week, if nothing changed then downvote, give them time to think about if they want to change it or not, give them that at least.

Revenge down-voting sucks. I know DEWO thinks we should all down-vote, but it's hard sometimes.
