*sigh* I kinda agree with you.. but hey its still fun and more balanced than half the games out there xD
only one of those champions is actually good
trynd is situational good
sounds like you just got beaten by a bad comp cause you're, well, bad, and you're mad.
you could beat that composition by taking amumu easily, lol

You're obviously in low elo and have no idea of how to counter any of those champions. You don't even need to counter most of them to win against them.
Nocturne is the only really strong champion you mention, the others are pretty balanced. Except for Caitlyn, she sucks.

EVERY champion has flaws, although you may be right about Nocturne.
I used to play Karthus a lot, and while he is a great champion, he's so incredibly easy to counter (
Banshee's Veil,
Hexdrinker,
Zhonya's Hourglass, hell, even
Negatron Cloak. And don't forget that around 1 in 6 champions has an ability that can resist it.
Garen destroys early game, but is pretty weak late game compared to most champions.
Madred's Bloodrazor.
Tryndamere is sooooo easy. Get
Ignite and it's over for him.
Caitlyn... She's widely considered underpowered. I think she's somewhat balanced, but she's definitely not overpowered.
Overall, you're just having a case of bad teammates or bad luck. If you don't want to play then don't, but saying only 5 champions are viable is just silly.

I remember enjoying it
Then hitting the sorta problem area between level 15-25
When everyone is just plain stupid
Luckily it filters out some proper idiots, then it started getting better when I had friends to play it with
Now I don't care if my team is stupid I'll just carry it myself

Tanks are now useless.
Off-tanks are feeders.
Squashy support champs are fresh meat in the shark tank.
Old style AD killers/assassins/ranged are mice trapped in the cat's cage. (toyed with until killed)
Forget all you ever thought you knew about balanced teams being the path to victory. While very true and effective once it now has no place in this game.
The team for the win is Nocturne, Garen, Tyrn, Caitlyn and Kat or Kathrus. Any team that does not include at least 4 of these champs is flawed. Am I saying that these champs cannot be killed? No, I am saying that anyone of these can be killed with a concerted team effort (Caitlyn, Kat and Kathrus can be ganked and killed sometimes, but usually have easy escape), but put them together and no balanced team or any other combination of champs can win.
Champs should have flaws, that is what balances games. For example of what is OP about this group, lets take Nocturne:
Deals splash damage @ 150% of his damage and receives healing, receives bonus attack spend and spell shield, has long range harrass that gives movement speed bonus and serious damage, and has an effective HP of 3200 with good attack speed and base damage. All this without Runes, masteries or items. Early game with good runes and masteries and no items Nocturne can go 2v1 and walk away with 2 kills and very little damage. Lvl 5 he can turret dive and get away with 2 kills and little damage. How is this balanced?
Now throw in the "Spin to Win" Triplets and the ranged champ that has the extended range to cover a lane without leaving her turret, and you have a winning combination.
