For anyone who is interested, I am working a new build to plug in to this playing style. Once I can get it straightened out I will update the guide to have it as an alternate. Few things I'm working on incorporating... No wriggles, and another on hit effect item. I may do a couple different ones depending on what I come up with...
Again, thanks for all the input!
I also have to mention.. ignite is an extremely powerful spell if a jungler can take it, because nearly all junglers depend on health regen of some sort or another and are taking smite. easily giving you an upper hand in that early 1v1 that the counter jungler is attempting.
I have seen ignite WW and it seems to work very well.
Also, on the note of exhaust...
really? a selfish spell? are you joking? L2P before you say that kind of thing.. this summoner ability is one of the only summoner abilities that you CAN save an ally with... you think smite or flash can reduce an attackers damage by 70%?? come on now....
All and all, good build and guide TJ. It is nice to see that some people are willing to think outside of the box..
Xaioli - Ignite doesn't just help myself out. I use it for a wide range of things, not the least of which is helping teammates get kills early on, and really even through late game. Also, its a pretty strong suggestion if you say smite is a must ;) If you use this build correctly you shouldn't have any problems keeping up on levels with solo or mid lanes because Warwick already breezes through the jungle pretty quickly...
I do appreciate the feedback, but part almost every other Warwick build out there goes smite, among other things... Trying to show that there are alternatives to the norm with this and that it is effective...
I understand that you can jungle without smite and can take another 'useful' summoner. However, Smite is so useful in everygame, from norms to ranked. When it comes to Smite, you can easily steal baron or dragon and help your team out instead of thinking of yourself and thinking, 'oh, I'll just take exhaust or ignite to help MYSELF out."
So just a suggestion, Smite is a must. If you can jungle fine w/o smite, great! With smite, you can literally breeze through the jungle and GANK faster. And again with the baron/dragon stealing, which is better? One summoner spell for your own personal uses, or a spell that can screw over 5 players, and can easily assist you and your teammates. ;)
But on purely a first look basis, I can't see the use of getting Wriggles rather then rushing Bloodrazor, I can't deny Wriggles is an exceptionally good jungle item, if only for the fact it gives you a free ward, which you nearly never see wards in pub play (although lately there has been a lot more warding.) But on Warwick it feels almost needed to get your Bloodrazor's fast. And while you can farm just as good with wriggles, the farm isn't the issue, I do see partly the reason for getting Wriggles, Warwick, to me, feels quite useless before his Bloodrazor's(Barring his ulti), and giving him wriggles makes him useful outside of his ulti earlier. But since Warwick is slightly dependant on his On Hit effect items, you're missing a good 1000 gold out of your Bloodrazor's, and buying a Vamp scepter and not upgrading to Wriggles would give you slightly the same effect for 925 gold less. This is of course just an assumption till I have tried it, because I'm the type of person that gets 3 doran's on a mid carry because they'd do well earlier. Will get back once I've tried this,
Another issue I have is the role you play as Warwick, By the looks of things you are Very squishy and more of a DPS. While this is fine in lower ELO play. DPS Warwick's seem to get stomped in any form of Mid ELO. Now I can't really deny your playing style of Warwick, but consider(If you already haven't) A Banshee's or a Guardian angel. They're quite a common pick for Warwick's defensive items, Banshee's being one of the best for him. Because my main concern with this play style is you're Reliant your team has another Off-tank, and there are a lot of others who fill the role of DPS better. I'd imagine you stick back in team fights rather then initiating after the tank on their DPS.
And my last "issue" is the lane Warwick, I do understand why you might need to lane, due to team comp without having a viable solo. But you may want to rethink the build. Why don't you get Wriggles when laning? and it seems you change your role from Jungle to Lane, where in the jungle you're the Main dps. You seem more Off-tank Dps in the lane, I'd consider rethinking your lane build, as some advice on where to start, dump the Spirit Visage and forget getting any of those damage items, Warwick excels with On Hit effect items, even outside his ultimate, a combination of Wit's End. Bloodrazor and The Black cleaver netts you a lot of damage, and having 2 tank items, plus Boots, limits you to only 3 damage items, and as you already go for Bloodrazor. you have 2 left, and DPS items don't seem to viable here, where as TBC, Malady, or Wit's End help with the damage but more importantly. Support your team and help your carry deal damage.
Just some things to think about. I'll probably get around to trying the build out sometime later today. Peace.
if you don't understand the basics of a jungler you shouldn't make a guide, simple
smite is useful 100% of the game
see that baron they are doing? smite steal it
see that dragon you're doing and they are using their ult to steal it? smite secure it
if you say smite isn't nessecary, you are a scrub. plain and simple
