Recently I've been trying to master vlad, and I'm pretty good with him. I search around the builds and try and soak up information, but right now I'm mainly focusing on optimizing my item build. I've seen various opinions and builds, and I'm just trying to find what people have determined to work and not work.

Right now I build into boots and a couple of health pots, then hop into mid. Generally I'll get a kill then recall buying Hextech Revolver then uprgading my boots into Ionian Boots of Lucidity. Then I rush Rabadon's Deathcap, buying Needlessly Large Rod first. After that I buy into Rylai's starting with a Blasting wand, and somewhere in there I'll probably buy a blue Elixir, which I continue to do throughout the build. After Rylai's I go into a Spirit Visage, and I here a lot of people saying Spirit Visage isn't good so I'm speculating that. After Visage I build a Void Staff, then I build Hexech Revolver into a Will of The Ancients. After that I just buy a bunch of Elixirs.

tl;dr: HP + boots > Hextech + Ionian boots of lucidity > Rabadon's > Rylai's > Spirit Visage > Void Staff > Will of the Ancients

Any suggestions/advice/help would be appreciated.

i think i normally go:
20ap book > boots + blasting wand > sorc shoes > needless rod > deathcap > rylais > hourglass (statis is very useful) > then last item... up to you =)

+ do not follow my build in the video. its a bit nooby ^^

e.g i didnt buy rylais etc and had 2 deathcaps etc. but at least you'll see how useful statis can be in the game ^^

Spirit Visage would be better replaced by more SV.
Will of the Ancients earlier, or another Hextech.

Spirit Visage is an ok item for Vlad but there are many better options. Other than that your build is similar to what I use.

Also Void Staff really isn't cost effective or as worth it unless they are multiple enemies with 90+ Magic Resist. And few other than tanks run that much. Otherwise you would be better off getting an item like Abyssal Scepter or some other AP items. If you have any other questions hit me here or on my guide. I'll be glad to try and help.
Did I manage to assist you in any way? Hook me up by hitting that nifty +Rep button.

All guides have been archived due to my not being able to play LoL currently. The information is still there and is good but until I return they will be archived. I am able to keep them updated and current though.
