As a guide writer, this is what I think about -1's.
If you're going to downvote, that's fine! It's good to know that I'm not the only person that builds xxx way. However, if you -1, please post a legitimate comment so I can respond/improve my guides. Im not the guy that retaliates, but it's frustrating when you spend several hours on a guide and someone just comes by and go '-1 ahdhahdhgaj'. Post a helpful comment so I can try to persuade you out of your -1, or to further enlighten you about your confusion/disagreement.

And i dont feel (like Jebus said) that i or him (highest rep guys) are the best source of judgment. I might vote up or down but i dont feel i should have more power than any other person on this site.
Apart from that i would love to see a 5 post minimum before voting. But than again... that brings less votes too and i've witnessed ppl creating an account only to cast a vote/comment on my builds to say thank you.

And those higher rep guys usualy are vets/mods anyway, so they can "recommend" a guide anyway...

What I was thinking was that the users vote will affect the score by the normal value + a value between 0 and 2 where the formula never allows a vote to be worth more than 3.
Here's a graph to illustrate how I was thinking:Your voting power can't go above 3 and the largest reward is from being moderately active.
Just throwing the idea out there. This would reward active behavior on the site which always is a positive thing.

I'm not quite sure of the equation, (nor do I want to be) but it seems like it needs to be toned down a little.
I'm gonna try putting it at about 20rep, but it's hard to manipulate these things to your likings. I've done nothing like this in school >.>

Nah, 20 seems a little on the low end. I post nothing productive mostly and I'm close to 20. 30-40 seems better.
