tbh I haven't played the other Gears, so I can't really compare x_x
I'm more of a multiplayer guy than a single player one, so although I beat campaigns, I don't really feel a need to play the other 2 to get the story in :3

I thought it was kinda boring. Kind of a wishy washy story strung together with a ****load of random action ect. It was more or less entertainment for people who are easily entertained by simple things. (And the biggest fugging cliche at the ending. Actually, the whole game was 1 big cliche)
