No, you'll be fine with either one. The problem before was that you couldn't spam Raise Morale without some sort of mana regen and now the problem may be Parrrley spam - we have to wait and see whether he needs the MP5 more early game or late game.

Runes are probably best as:
ArP marks
MP5 seals. MP5/lvl might be good with 21utility, but I don't play GP much, so I can't say for sure.
CDR, MR or MR/lvl glyphs
ArP or AD quints. AD for a lot more early damage, but a little less mid/late damage.
