So, I hear the term "Hotfix" around a lot. I am wondering what does it mean, and could you also give me an example.

It's when they perform a quick patch without having to take down the servers for an extended period of time as it's only a change to the live patch.

Example: hotfix patch for Le Blanc to reduce her stupidly broken damage output.
Example: hotfix patch for Lee Sin to increase scaling on the live patch as he was UP.
