Actually that sounds good too, but it can ruin your mid-late game, the rise in damage when completing rabbadons deathcap can net you some kills around levels 14-16 that will get you pretty damn near that archangels and total ownage.
The loss of, lets say, 400 extra mana from tear will only result in a 15 AP difference (thats counting rabbadons) so it wont change your game, while deathcap does turn you into a killing machine.
Anyway ill try that too and tell you about it.
If you check the mana indicated at the build you will see Archangels gives 140 AP, thats excluding rabbadons bonus, which would make a total 186 vs 130 from zhonyas, and archangels also allows you to become ridiculosly powerful in case of a very long game if you get a second archangels staff...

OH darn I entirely missed that. Sorry, you're correct in saying that it gives 145 AP.
However, it still applies that you only get 4 mana per spell cast, that CAPS at 1000. So yes, you'll have more AP later on, but it may take at 20 minutes to even match the AP from zhonya's hourglass. This can be solved by buying an early Tear and upgrading after buying your Deathcap.

Early tear will go agains getting early RoA or or rabbadon which i think are better than the bonus ap from tears mana, the mana mastery gives ap for end game, even thoug i see the usefulness of movement mastery ill kepp taking mana.
