we're talking about lifesteal, and i mentioned it because
20% lifesteal
40% attack speed, which procs your passive faster plus combined with w reduces cooldowns
-20 armor aura
the 30hp5 isnt very useful at all i agree but the emblem of valor is fairly nice for laning/jungling

Ok.. Look at it this way.
About 800 of the 2550gold you pay for it are for the HP5. You only get bonuses for 1750gold if you disregard the HP5.
Compared to SotD or Wit's End (or even BT or Wriggle) it's just way inferior.

You don't think lifesteal is needed on Xin? The passive don't really give that much HP.
EDIT: What I mean is: from experience, I've noticed that lifesteal on Xin is pretty damn good. And I don't really see a viable alternative to Starks. Actually, imho, I think Starks is awesome. Of course the 30HP/5 isn't the best thing on Starks, but together with Randuin's (I see it as core on Xin) it gives a pretty decent amount of HP/5 which is maybe a bit useful after all.
