So I'm on Ventrilo a lot. I also hear people complaining about XXX person being too loud, or XXX person being too low. Since I used to play WoW, my Ventrilo has been normalized for the loooongest time. Now, I know this article is really old, but it's really easy and short to normalize Ventrilo. So now, no more ear bleeding, or the needs to turn someone up!
Basically, main part of the article you need is to do these steps:
Go to Setup
Enable Direct Sound
Select the SFX Button
Select Compressor and click Add.
Under Compressor Properties use the following settings:
Gain = Adjust for how loud you want people to be. (I use 15)
Attack = 0.01
Release = Around 500
Threshold = Around -30
Ratio = 100
Pre delay = 4.0
Done!
If you don't know which button to press exactly, I've highlighted it below.

Removed the image just in case Xai doesn't want the info getting out. You can always re-add it.

Meh, I won't care if people see my FB info. I just won't accept them and add them to my 30+ pending FR's that I'm too lazy to decline >_>
@Jebus - Sure thing.
