he's good in both the lane or jungle, however he doesnt really have any ganking power. the tempest slow isnt enough to secure a kill but it should make them waste a summoner or 2.
if your jungling or laning i like to start with cloth armor and 5 pots. i feel that, unsurprisingly, he works best as a tanky dps. i highly recommend black cleaver and randuins but other than that its pretty situational.
for masteries i usually go 21/0/9 or 0/21/9 (1/21/8 if jungling.)

Jungle>lane. He's a meh laner, but a strong jungler - only thing weak about his jungling is his ganking, which is significantly stronger after level 6.

The tempest bug is this bug that instacasts tempest twice dealing double damage. Maybe riot fixed it but I'm pretty sure it still works. Current builds I want to try is hog stacking, wriggles(if jungle) brut sheen... And I'm pretty sure triforce is really good on him but I could be wrong... Looking forward to that guide boosh ;)

and you guys a ****ing jokes saying hes a bad laner, hes a great jungler and laner, like xin, no1 has seen good lee sins thats all, iv'e beaten everyone ive laned against so far hes so ****ing strong, (vlad, ezreal, Mf, morde, kass, annie to name a few) and his ult is so ****ing good, like 650 base dmg and all his skills (apart from his shield) scale off AP, and his Q the 10% os missing hp, just wow so much dmg, i think i need to prove you guys wrong...

I've only seen one good one so far Booshido. It was during duo q with Evildice during ranked, the person first picked Lee Sin and played extremely well. He is a high skill cap champion, nobody is going to play him well unless they devote time to him. He isn't like ****in vladimir where you can dominate within the first couple of games because his learn curve is so small.
With that said, I think there are better champions than him and he doesn't really offer anything special to make him a more desirable pick. x.o
However, he might become the FoTM soon. I can see this happening.
