It is a good idea, but you cannot judge something on the kill ratio, that's just against the purpose of the game.
One other thing that isn't clear is how do you score points ?

On the starting post I mentioned it was based on wins (as I compared it to a soccer league). Winning a match would award your team with 3 points, the other team would get 0.
The kill/death ratio is only the 2nd tie breaker between teams.
Let's say my team played against your team. You won both games. If we were ever with the same score, your team would always be "above" mine in the scoreboard (cause you defeated me twice).
Now let's suppose that your team won the first match and my team won the 2nd match and we were tied in points... we'd need a tie breaker for this. That's why I suggested the kill/death ratio (of both games combined). It'd only be used in extreme situations.
I understand, but what I would say is to play a third match . . .

You'll have teams tied after every match. Let's assume we have 6 teams. 3 win, 3 lose.
Team A 3 points
Team B 3 points
Team C 3 points
Team D 0 points
Team E 0 points
Team F 0 points
How would you say which is in first place and which is 2nd and 3rd? Do a match?
Even my kill/death ratio is flawed until the first round is over (each team has played against all other teams once)... Gonna have to put some more thought into this :)
(regarding the kill/death ratio... it'd be compared to the goals for/against that's used in football - soccer for americans - leagues) :P
I'll also highlight one thing: this is still a draft. The purpose is to polish the ideas so we can have a good competition with fair and clear rules that all should know. Suggestions are more than welcome
Durrrr Do it like WCG :)
Qualifying Rounds, and then a standard tourney, With multiple of 4 (4/8/12/16/20) number of teams, with at least 8 teams, otherwise it won't work
Take example on this bracket : thebrink.tv/tournament.php

I'd like to give everyone equal odds at winning and/or scoring points. The tournament option seems a bit too harsh (since some teams will only play 1 game... or 2 games if we do it best out of 3.
Making it a league would make it "more fun" since everyone would do several matches (and could still recover after 1-2 losses).

This is still in draft mode. Accepting ideas and making arrangements. Also accepting registrations.

well as a single player i think its a cool idea lol and fail on me for not having or being apart of a team haha :/
I'm thinking that the teams won't have to be done only by members. I'm thinking of something like:
- Team captain has to be a member of the community
- The other 4 members can be from outside the community
You need to log in before commenting.
I was thinking of something like:
Still thinking if we can have replacement players in case someone doesn't show up for a match...
What do you guys think of this idea? Keep on bringing up more suggestions
