If no, and you continue to play with ranked games, have fun low elo with the BR's. If no and you don't play ranked games, I commend you. Thanks for not instantly diving into ranked games right as you hit 30. You're saving yourself and a lot of people tons of time. If the answer is yes, I'll see you in my elo then.

I would learn multiple roles. Making sure you can play a tank, jungle, AP caster, Ad champ etc so you can fill whatever role may be needed. There are 2 nice guides dealing with this subject... 5 champs you should know how to play and New Player FAQ.
Part of the reason I don't play much ranked is because I, as a summoner, have several weaknesses and I am not good at jungling or most melee AD characters.

Sometimes it's best not to dive straight in, try to aim for one or both of these things;
500+ normal WINS (not total games played)
AND/OR
a hundred win spread of your wins/losses
If you can do both of these I can guarantee you will have an easier time rising through the ranks =)

Season 2 is nearly starting... play as much ranked as you want for experience and a taste of how serious it can be.
Or you can do what I am doing and chill with normal premades xD... Played some rank as soon as I hit level 30, went 7 wins 11 losses... just so demotivating to keep playing it

i have a question, my friend borrowed my acc, and even tho i asked him notto play ranked he did anyway, he lost 40 games and won 4, now my elo is about 600, then i toke it back, and started pumping my elo, now my overall score is 80 - 46 wins and im still at 730, do you get less elo the lower you are ?
