Soraka has "farmer" as one of her tags...I'm not saying she should farm, I'm saying she can farm. There's a difference.
If you're trying to farm with Soraka and can't, you have issues. If you're not and you have gold issues that's your problem. People may say they don't farm with supports, but most of them are full of ****.

Soraka is one of the best farmers in the game, if you can't get enough farm with her you're doing something wrong.
She shouldn't farm, which means her being a good farmer is irrelevant.
She's good at pushing back minion waves and stuff, but that's about all.
Tri lane for life.
Read what I've said and think about it before you decide I've said something "stupid", and that's to all of you. I was only commenting on her ability to farm, not on whether you chose to farm with her or not.

I know, i was just trying to reiterate that soraka shouldn't be farming, and that's why you never see AP soraka builds.
The reason you see soulstealer builds is because of Sorakas ability to stack it very quickly and because she doesn't die often, you don't normally lose stacks.
Also, at above 7 stacks, it's more cost effective than a death cap in terms of raw AP.
Tri lane for life.
And once you get above 7 stacks it also becomes a sign over her head saying focus me, which will lose you the stacks you have very fast.
Okay time for the support player to come in.
Soraka -should- build AP, correct here.
Soraka SHOULDN'T be taking farm in a duo lane, end-game Soraka should have less than 20 CS or you're doing something wrong; due to this and the statement above, Kage's Lucky Picks are a great choice for both AP and gold/10.
Soraka does not build Tear of the Goddess; Mana Regeneration is sufficient with the help of Infuse; Philosopher's Stones are a great choice (albeit not as important as Kage's Lucky Picks) for Mana Regen and gold/10.

If you die as Soraka, you were probably improperly positioned.
Other than freak 5 man teleport ganks with numerous amounts of CC, soraka really shouldn't die.
Tri lane for life.
I'm seeing a lot of opposition to the Archangel's Staff, which is understandable to an extent. However, when maxed out and combined with RoA + BV, it gives immense amounts of AP.
Soraka: 1320 base mana
Archangel's Staff: 45 AP, 3% of maximum mana is converted into AP, 1400 mana when capped.
Rod of Ages: 725 mana when capped.
Banshee's Veil: 375 mana.
Total mana (base @ 18, RoA, Archangels, BV): 3820.
So, Archangels will give (3820 x .03) + 45 = 159.6 AP.
That's a LOT of AP, 2nd most in the game. The only difficulty is that 2 of these items are stacking items, which means it takes 10 minutes (for RoA) AND 250 spell casts. So, if we're stacking mad AP on soraka, archangels is an item that can pay off in the long run - not for mana, but for AP. However, this means that you have to get RoA, BV, Archangels, and Rabadons as core items for this build.

XD OMGOMGOMG! Totally cracked me up.
This is by far the most horribly wrong thing I've ever seen you write.
If you don't see anything wrong in what you wrote you should just stop talking.
I tried to avoid directly telling her that supports can't farm because they aren't allowed to.
OH WELL.
