With lifesteal start and the fact that GP always builds crit AD just is the best option..

Meta and kit changes have shifted GP into more of a tanky dps role. Triforce is core now.
You can and do build crit, but usually not much, with changes to Parrrley base damage, crit only has an advantage with more than 35% crit vs sheen and 58% vs tri force.
