I agree with boots of mobility and tiamat. He needs that speed and damage early.
I also like how you show what you're fixing about other guides. Good job!
Thanks :) Yeah, I don't do it to necessarily be mean-spirited. I just feel that there are a few things that should be changed, and that people should know what I'm going for up front.

I actually like the inclusion of Tiamat, the build seems all in all solid to me. I don't play Yorick personally, but a lot of the better ones I've seen build similarly, and I know from experience that Tiamat can be a godsend for early game farming. I think it really is the most undervalued item in the game.
Thanks for that, Doc. I haven't seen Tiamat used very often, myself, but usually the importance of other stats outweigh the AD/regen combo and the nice farming tool. However, crit's not especially impressive with Yorick (he's a bit slow till late-laning/early-mid game)...same with life steal. Attack speed suffers similarly, if not worse...the uptime on a target is generally only long enough to get your ranged ghouls and an Omen of War before they start pulling away from you via cc and natural movespeed advantages or summoner spells. Thus, you want those ghouls, and the abilities they land with, to hit for the most they can toward the beginning, maximizing your damage per mana.
On the second build, he's not there to do damage. He's there to initiate, latch on to escaping carries, and stick around long enough to double a carry's damage, then bring them back to score any kills that are eminent. If damage becomes an issue, it's not going to come from tank Yorick. It might come from a tanky damage Yorick in the jungle, but he sacrifices stats he's been stacking all game for negligible crit and relatively negligible armor.
In fact, the only thing I need for ganking is reg boots of speed and a little health. I had a game last night where I chased a Tryn off, burning his ult in the process, just to be engaged by an Ashe. I dropped slow on her and proceed to beat down, and Tryn came back...only to die to the splash damage from Tiamat!
I would try Shurelya's in place of Sword of the Occult, but before Warmog's, if I needed health, but also couldn't guarantee kills and needed to conserve money. I usually don't need much more regen than spec/glyphs/clarity, though. Suicide Yorick is so funny...everyone loves to dive with him!
Tiamat = Money.
I really didn't believe in your
Suicide Yorick All The Way!
Yorick's probably the most indirect champ in the game for the first half of the game. This is because he lacks in the speed and health departments. If you can get those boosted a bit, however, he can start doing some pretty amazing things. He's definitely not a champ you can learn all about in one game...I've played probably close to 40-50 with him and still am feeling out his nuances.
You're right about the bad rep though, i haven't seen one played yet- and i play a fair bit.
I do however have a friend who bought him and came back 2 minutes later with the words
"he sucked"
and hasn't played him since.
I do think that he has potential. the AoE slow, nice survivability and chasing leads to a lot of possibilities.
good attempt at a guide though, and it' nice to see
