On Lee when I'm jungling I SOMETIMES put in some max energy runes to allow me to gank more effectively with blue. (Can spam all abilities in a row due to slight regen + max)

Yeah no. Well-intended but they don't work well.
Instead of energy marks, get magic pen or armor pen. (Or attack damage for Akali or w/e you REALLY need for a jungle)
Instead of energy seals, get armor maybe.
Instead of energy glyphs, get magic resist or ability power or cdr or w/e.

You get the point I hope. They are good runes outdone by GREAT runes.

The flat energy glyphs are viable.
