I said they DON'T...
"Blizzard spoke thus; Thou shalt not BM. And the players replied Nay, I shall Play my hand with Lethal already on the board. And so Blizzard sent unto them this Brawl of Yogg, As a lesson for their sins of Pride and Greed, for he is the Prophet of Madness and RNG. On that day, the tavern descended into an era of chaos and darkness, until the weekend passed and everyone forgot all about it. Amen. Book of SMOrc, Verse 20, Chapter 4." - Feam T
No, read what you just said...you said they don't work with vamp, meaning they work with lifesteal, meaning it procs on hit or is physical (which it is not)...
EDIT: Sir, I just looked on the wiki and W applies on hit effects and as such works with lifesteal :)

Life Steal converts a percentage of the damage dealt by a champion's physical attack to health. Physical damage only.

NO THEY DON'T.
Read my comments properly.
ONLY the physical part of your attacks will life steal. The on hit magic damage from items and your W WILL NOT trigger spell vamp nor life steal.

"every now and again you come across a game that has so little emotional connection to who you are that you end up standing there, gazing at the screen and saying "I'm just pressing buttons and my life has no meaning,"" - Colin Campbell
On-hit magic damage effects aren't spells, so they don't trigger spell vamp.
Nor are they physical, so they don't trigger life steal.
Common sense, folks. Magic damage =/= spell vamp. Physical damage =/= life steal either (for instance, irelia's Transcendent Blades)
