I'm relatively new to the game, and in a state of figuring out what champion I'd want to main with. I was hoping to take a tank that had some sort of aggressive playstyle. Any of you pros/vets know anyone that would suit my needs?

You need to look at Offtanks/Tanky Dps'. In a standard team there is usually a role for one of these types of champions. These are all viable offtanks:
Udyr
Rumble
Jarvan IV
Mordekaiser
Warwick
Alistar
Maokai
Irelia
Olaf
Xin Zhao

Wawrick is perhaps a good option if you're newer to the game.

You might want to try Cho'Gath or Singed; Cho deals a lot of damage for a tank and he's pretty fun to play, and Singed's playstyle is basically running around like an ******* in the middle of the enemy team whilst being uncatchable and unkillable. Also, both of them are more or less pure tanks rather than offtanks/tanky dps.

Most tanks play somewhat aggressively though when the time is right, since you will almost always be the one initiating on the other team and standing right at the front of the fight.

pretty much what you're looking for, although I'd take olaf and xin off of that list, they're not exactly tanky. Definitely recommend rumble and mordekaiser if you're looking for aggression, those guys are straight up bullys in lane.

You can also play Off-tank Master Yi, aka "Final" Yi^^. Every meele champ can be played as off-tank if farmed.

Rumble and Mordekaiser are two relatively easy to learn champs that are quite strong.

If you need more help I literally have an entire guide on this.
